Q: What program did Microsoft provide to solve the Vista compatibility issues with older programs?
Their was a program Microsoft came out with to play older games and programs on Vista machines. I cannot remember the name of it. It was a free download that is supposed to resolve compatibility issues. Anyone know what It is called?
A: Not heard of any software to do this but if you right click on the icon of the game and select properties there is a compatability tab that you can use to set the operating system to.
Q: What affiliate programs make the most money?
I am looking to join some affiliate programs, and I am part of barnes and noble, but looking for some more to make extra money. What programs have you joined that make money, and do you have any tips on making even more money with affiliate programs?
A: Hi: I have joined over 140 affiliate programs of gaming sites (bingo, casino, poker, skill games, and sportsbooks). Only about two dozen or so of these have resulted in any income -- around $4K in the last 6 months.
If you are interested in promoting gaming sites, then you may find my article helpful; it's called "Seven Tips for Choosing an Online Gaming Affiliate Program". It contains tips as well as my top 12 recommended affiliate programs.

Q: What writing programs work on both mac and windows computers?
I have a pc and use microsoft word alot. What program can I use to send text write ups to someone on a mac computer? Will the notepad or wordpad programs that are with windows work on the mac os. I believe I can use adobe, but I only have the reader part of that program.
A: Notepad produces .txt, so it'll work with anything.
Q: Is there anyway to check what programs are currently running on my Blackberry Pearl?
I just recently got a Blackberry Pearl from T-Mobile. After reading some things online, I saw some people saying things about having open programs on their Blackberry Curves, and other Blackberry models and how to check if there are any programs running.
But I never have seen anything about BlackBerry Pearls. Do programs automatically close when you hit the back button when you're in a program? Or are they minimized? And if they are minimized how can I see what programs are running, and how to close them?
A: To see what programs are running, you need to press and hold down the ALT key, then press the escape key (located immediately to the right of the track ball). This will show the running programs.
In order to properly exit most times you need to press the menu key while in the program, then chose Exit or Close.
Q: What computer programs might regular people need I could make and sell?
I am a budding .NET programmer and want to sell programs on-line, but I need to know what kinds of simple programs people might want so I may sink my teeth into bigger applications later.
If you could have a program designed for you, what would you want or need?
A: How about a stand alone check register like banks send when you order checks that gives you a running total.
Q: Do the satellite programs really work on your pc for viewing more programs and downloading music?
We are checking out the idea of purchasing one of the satellite indoor download programs to be able to watch additional tv programs from around the world and also download music. Do these really work and if so what are the best ones out there?
A: See something which suits my needs won't necessarily be suiting yours. So its better to go for a program which which offer you money back guarantee.I am using the Titanium Edition for last few months & its working fine.
Q: How do I get my programs back in the "All Programs" in the start menu on Windows Vista?
I recently accidentally deleted all but four of the programs in my All Programs folder in the start menu on Vista. Does anyone know how I can get them back without just dragging and dropping the programs back?
Well I actually already emptied the recycle bin.
A: System restore
Q: What programs can I use to keep track of my flight hours?
I am looking for a program to keep track of my flight hours and details electronically. I want to know some names of programs you know of or you have used.
Also, if I where to loose my hard copy of my flight hours, is the electronic log just as creditable?
A: I use Logbook Pro (http://www.logbookpro.com). Its reporting capabilities are great.
Even with my electronic copy, I keep a printout of my logbook as well. Logbook Pro has a report that will print out the pages in the exact format of a Jeppesen logbook. If you want an official looking logbook, they sell binders and pages, but it's pretty expensive. I did it anyway because it looks really professional. You also need somewhere to keep your endorsements.
Yes, the electronic log is credible. If you lose a logbook, you are allowed to reconstruct it using anything you have available: flight receipts, previous 8710 forms, etc. Just provide a signed statement stating how you reconstructed the hours and that you did not falsify any of your flight experience. An electronic logbook is an even better way because it represents your actual logbook, not a reconstruciton.
Q: What kind of programs are ideal for recording music on your computer?
Im looking for a program that can be used to record music, a free program if possible. Also if it can use my instrumentals that I've created that would be awesome. So any sites or programs that you know of that are easy to use and have a good reputation please let me know. Also if anybody knows of what kind of recording device, (microphone, etc.) is good for a computer that would be helpful too thanks.
A: There are two free programs worth considering. Audacity is simple to use. For more advanced work there is the Krystal Sound.
Q: How do i uninstall a program on my computer if it isn't located in Add & Remove programs?
It's not located in Add & Remove files, but it is located in the Start menu - all programs menu.I know sometimes programs will have a little menu off of them with the uninstall option, but this doesn't have it.How else can i uninstall this program?
A: I had a similar proplem I had a program that add/remove said couldnt be removed I went and downloaded windows installer cleaning utility program was on there I hit remove and it removed it no problem. Also this is a free download. Check it out this might solve your problem. Nothing ventured nothing gained
Q: What are some programs that extract/cut images from backgrounds?
I want to take an image of a person, and place it into another image with a different background. I want to just take out the person, no little extra parts. Do you know of any programs that can do this? That I can download.
Also, does anyone know which programs people use when creating s4s codes on MySpace, like personal programs that allow them to place images on designed backgrounds and draw thick lines around the image....
Any help would be appreciated. Also, if anyone has a link to where I can download PhotoImpression 3 for free, please let me know.
Can anyone recommend the photo editing software?
A: Adobe has good programs but you need to to it your self.
PhotoImpression 3 is not freeware. Buy it, use a trial or don't use it at all.
Good luck.
Q: What did work relief programs do during the Great Depression?
Franklin D Roosevelt started many work relief programs to help decrease unemployment during the Great Depression in the 1930's. These included Civil Conservation Corps (CCC) and the Works Progress Administration (WPA), National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA) and the National Recovery Administration (NRA).
Does anyone know what these programs did for unemployed people or how the programs worked?
A: I couldn't disagree more with the above answer. The programs provided much needed jobs during and immediately following the depression, it cleared the lands and areas for many state and national parks, most of which are in existence today, it provided roads, drainage and infrastructure to allow more people to live a better life, and several groups like the CCC which was para-militarily organized provided a nucleus of disciplined leaders for the countries military prior to WWII.
Q: Is there a program that can backup installed programs?
I need a program that can backup and restore other programs that have already been installed. I no longer have the installer for those programs, and I cannot seem to find those programs. Could anyone give me a link to some software (Preferrably free) that enables me to either backup programs that were installed or repackage programs that were installed into one installer?
Thanks in advanced!
A: I'm sorry, but I don't think that what you ask is possible. I make it a habit to keep the installers for any programs I download in a file on the desktop. It uses up some extra memory, but has proved useful on more than one occasion.
Q: What happens to saved programs after tivo service is turned off?
Hey everyone,
I am just wondering if anyone knows what happens to saved programs once the tivo service is disconnected (canceled). I have all the programs saved as, "Save until I delete." We are moving and so I am going to disconnect service and maybe start it up again in about 5-6 months. But I am mainly curious as to the programs I have currently saved on the system. Also will the system let me watch them even if the service is disconnected ?
Has anyone ever tried this, or knows for sure what happens?! ....Thx.
A: Hi Fairy Godmother.
Your programs will be fine.
We canceled the service on a TiVo a few months ago because we got a new one.
I can see all my stored programs and watch them as I normally did but I can't record new programs. It just says "program data not available" if I try to record.
