Q: What is the cheapest, easiest, fastest, online masters degree possible?
I have decided to go for my masters. I want it to be the cheapest, easiest, fastest, online degree possible?
I live in Florida. I have decided to pursue a Masters degree. I haven't narrowed it down yet but it will most likely be one of these three; Special Ed, Ed leadership, or Psychology. My Bachelor's is in Psych. I have a teaching cert for both Psych and Special Ed.(ESE). I am finishing my sixth year of teaching ESE at the high school level. I am currently studying to take the middle grades integrated curriculum exa, which will earn me certifications in math, science, english and social studies. I get emails most every day from universities trying to recruit me. Now that you know a little about me, I would appreciate a bit of advice. To be honest, I want this to be as quick and painless as possible. I also know there are schools out there that meet my requirements, I just haven't searched for them yet. Please help. Thanks!
A: Why not try forgery?
Q: What is the most reputable online Master's degree program?
I have a university in my town (the same one I got my BS from), but the thought of going to class from 6pm until 10 pm after working a full day makes me ill. I'm considering doing the online thing, but wasn't sure how good that looked to an employer.
A: Online programs are very tough. You must be fully dedicated to the program. There are plenty of online programs out there, even Harvard has some. You may want to look and see whether Boston University Online has a program that would fit your needs.
Q: About how much does an online degree master's degree program cost?
And do most accept Pell Grants ?
A: May be this site can help you
http://www.a1onlinecourses.com
Q: Need to find grants for adults to get an online Masters degree?
I have a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts and would like to get my master's in psychology/counseling. I cannot afford to go into debt with a student loan. Ideas? I want to study online, ideas for colleges would be great!
A: Unfortunately, Pell Grants do not exist once someone graduates with their first Bachelor's degree. There are scholarships out there, but they are limited in number. There is the possibility of a Graduate Assistant or Research Assistant positions, but I have not seen any of them related to someone taking courses online. I will list some free resources to locate money for college.
First, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.
Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.
Third, fill out the FAFSA form after January 1 for the upcoming fall semester after you apply for graduate school. It will qualify for need based financial aid from the school itself.
Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.
Good luck!
Q: Which school is good for online/distance master degree in sociology and cost about $5,000.00?
I need to do a Master degree program in sociology either online or through distance correspondence, I need an accredited school with affordable fees (not more than $5,000.00). Can somebody supply me with information on any english speaking online colleges offering master degree in social science.
A: First off, good luck in your MA! In looking for a school, look for the type of program that will be valuable to your future, as most Master's programs will be past $10,000, with the best being over $25,000 depending on the field and school of interest. I am taking my online MA with Boston University, but funding through federal loans and school loans through financial aid programs can help you decide. Call the office of Financial Aid, and talk to an adviser at the top 5 schools of your choice, as they might have the names of loans that best suit you outside of the normally offered loans. There are loans specifically for graduate students from main branch banks. It takes a lot of research, but in the end could save you big bucks, but your attendance at a school you can be proud of and not regret, as the other poster said, you get what you pay for. Also be careful as to making sure the online school is valid and real, as many offer degrees for under $5,000 but they are just degree mills and not real, so make sure they are real before handing over any registration or application fees.
Good luck in your future!

Q: Will employers view an online masters degree the same as one taken in a classroom?
I am thinking about getting my masters degree and want to make sure that I don't end up wasting my time and money. I don't live close to a college and would prefer to take classes online due to my current schedule. Does anyone know how I can make sure that the program comes from an accredited and well ranked college? (a website) I already have a BS in Criminal Justice and plan to get my masters in that field. Any advice would be appreciated.
A: If you get your degree online from someplace like UMass or Florida State or the like then it will be perfectly acceptable to almost all employers and preferable to a degree in the classroom from some schools.
In fact, the diploma doesn't say "online" at all and the only way the employer would know is if you tell them or if you attend one of those schools that everyone knows is online.
Reality is that almost every college in the US is now teaching online and very many offer their degrees wholly online. Some people who are stuck in 1982 haven't figured that out yet and will tell you "online = bad" but you can look around yourself - Harvard, Stanford, UC-Berkeley, Johns Hopkins, and Oxford (among many others) are teaching online so they must think it viable.
To verify "well ranked" - check the US News and World Reports rankings - the best online programs are at the best traditional colleges.
To verify accreditation - take a minute to learn what regional accreditation is. It's what you want. http://distancelearn.about.com/od/accreditationinfo/a/regional.htm
Check your choices against the accreditors web site list. Be careful not to fall for "we're accredited" claims if schools that accredited themselves.

Q: how can i do online Master degree or diploma on dermatological diseases?
i have a bachelore of dermatology
A: I will never trust someone's profession / job who gets their 'qualifications' online.
Q: Will a fully accredited online Masters degree be enough to find a community college teaching position?
I'm thinking of going to Golden Gate University online program and when I'm done I will have two Masters Degrees one in finance and one in industrial psychology. The online degree is accredit by the WASC. I also have an undergraduate degree from a highly regarded institution. My work experience is relevant and somewhat impressive. I'm wondering if potential community colleges will discount my online degree? What will my prospects be like?
WASC = Western Association of Schools and colleges.
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is one of six official academic bodies responsible for the accreditation of public and private universities, colleges, secondary and elementary schools in the United States and foreign institutions of American origin. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges has jurisdiction over the states of California and Hawaii, territories of Guam, American Samoa, Micronesia, Palau, Northern Marianas Islands, Pacific Rim, East Asia and areas of the Pacific and East Asia where American schools or colleges may apply to it for service.
A: I am going to be quite honest with you.
There is very little chance that you will ever be hired to teach at a community college with an online degree.
Academia still looks askance at degrees (especially graduate degrees) that are not earned in residence, while being closely supervised by noted scholars in your field of study.
I realize that GGU is WASC accredited, but honestly, at the graduate level, mere accreditation is meaningless. Reputation of one's program (in terms of scholarly rigor) means everything.
If you wish to teach finance, your work experience in finance will serve you well, given community college hiring practices in that area. There is currently a high demand for finance professors, and substantial work experience is highly valued in this field. However, you should also hold a degree in finance that is earned in residence through a highly reputable department.
As to industrial psychology, even if your work experience is in this field, you will need at least an MA in psychology to teach this at the community college level. Many of your competitors will hold the PhD, so if you do not, your work experience in this area should be substantial.
I wish you success.
Q: where do i get an online degree that caters for people living outside america?
i would like to do an online masters degree in education administration.i live in nigeria.
A: Try www.open.edu.au
I'm not sure if they offer it, but there is a lot there to choose from.
Q: Any Online Masters Degree Graduates Out There?
If so, have you found any jobs and salaries that are compatible with your major and/or degree level? Are the results what you thought they would be, or has it been a rude awakening?
I am asking because I am thinking of pursuing an online masters degree so that I can be an online adjunct professor. I'm unable to go to a brick and mortar institution due to family obligations. I've had much job and salary advancement success with my online bachelors. Thanks very much for any light you can shed.
A: I am in the dissertation phase of my Ph.D. from Capella University ( http://www.capella.edu ) and love every minute of the experience. They also have Master's programs. I have already landed a job as a Dean at a community college because of this.
Q: Is an online Masters Degree worth anything?
I'm currently enrolled at Florida State University, but due to the fact that I am working full time - I am unable to continue my schooling here (most classes are scheduled when I have to be at work).
I will probably have to finish my education online, and was wondering if an online Masters degree (MBA) holds any weight in the real world.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my question.
A: Too bad about FSU. They're not a bad school.
As for the online masters - for an MBA, it depends entirely upon the online school's reputation. I mean, an MBA from U of Phoenix isn't worth the virtual paper it's printed on, but an MBA from Thunderbird? Might be all right.
Know that many MBA employers are highly education sensitive. They do very much care about the reputation of the school you attended. The school should at least be decent, if you really want to use the MBA to advance your career. It doesn't have to be elite (although that'd be lovely, wouldn't it?) but it must be reputable. No matter where you get your MBA, make sure that it is AACSB accredited, or some employers will refuse to look at you, and make sure it has a good name even beyond that.
So some decent MBA programs that do offer MBAs online include:
Duke University (very well ranked)
Drexel
Carnegie Mellon
Penn State
Ball State
U Nebraska - Lincoln
Thunderbird (really intriguing program, and well ranked)
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Rensselaer Polytechnic (an up and coming program)
I'm sure there are others as well. The easiest way to find them isn't to search for "online MBA", as the ones that come up are crappy for-profit schools. Instead, find an MBA program that you like, offline (perhaps use US News & World Report's MBA rankings lists as a starter) and then check each of their websites to see if they also offer the MBA online. And don't forget to check schools in Florida - going to a fairly localish school online can be a nice way to blur that "online" bit on your resume. From a glance, an employer need not know that you did it online at all, if it's in any sort of commutable distance.
Another option for you may be to find an in-person weekend MBA program, such as the ones offered by Kellogg, Michigan State, Johns Hopkins, and U Cal Berkeley. Perhaps U of F offers one? Or even your current school? If not, and you have the cash and time, people actually fly to, say, Berkeley for the weekend, take their courses, then fly back. Shocking, but true; but when you consider the very strong rep of that school, Kellogg, and Michigan State, I can understand it.
