Online education would be the best way to start.
A: well I am currently studying accounting through Ashworth College out of Norcross, Ga if you decide to do a distance education just make sure that you find out if it is accredited..
Ashworth is very affordable and also have credits that transfer if you later decide to go to a bigger school.. wish you all the best I know how it is living in a small town

Q: What are the best online college degrees for someone under 18?
I want to get a Veterinary degree, but I am only 12. I am working on getting a GED, but anyone know of schools that offer online degrees that I could do? I can't find any.
I am homeschooled, and 12. I know that you can manage to get into a normal college, but I would like to do it at home. Do you know some websites that I could get a veterinary degree of some kind, without being over 18?
A: y not go to school and get a diploma?
Q: How do hiring officials feel about degrees acheived online?
I am thinking about obtaining a degree from an online university and I am curious to see what corporate America thinks about online degrees.
A: We HR people are more concerned about the reputation of the particular school than whether it was delivered online or in the classroom.
Some schools have a reputation for graduating excellent students, others have a reputation for being "pay your fee, get a C" -- we generally prefer the former over the latter.
Online and DL delivery of college coursework is normal now. Almost every college in the country offers online coursework and some of the best offer whole degrees online.
If your degree is from a school that has a solid reputation and is regionally accredited then it will be well received. If it doesn't have a good reputation then it will be known for what it is.
Explore the really good schools like UMass, Boston, SUNY, U Fla, U Cal., and the like. The cool thing about online education is that you can get a degree from a really good school online.
Q: How can you find out if a college offering online degrees is really accredited?
There are so many colleges out there that offer degrees online. How can you find out if one has a valid accreditation? No one wants a degree that won't be recognized in the real world! Is there a national database somewhere that can be used to check out a school?
A: Each region has it's own accreditation bodies.
University of Phoenix is accredited, as is Kaplan and Drexel.
Search for whomever they claim to be accredited through and shoot them email asking to verify the claim.
Q: What state universities offer online degrees?
I wanted to do the University of Phoenix(the campus), but I saw a lot of complaints about them. They are not a lot of choices I can choose from where I live, so online degrees is best for me.
A: You need to explore the on line educational site to gain knowledge about the online degrees i know one of the educational site which can help you to find the on line collage for education which is http://www.sgpak.com
Q: Hello, What are the best universities in the world that have credited online degrees?
I'm very skeptical about online degrees and stuff like that. But the concept is so appealing for me as I have no possibility to attend one in person. Are online degrees credited in the real world? Thanks in advance!
A: i think the MIT course is.
Q: What schools offer the best online degrees?
Ive been reading into online degrees, and even talked to a few of the schools admissions advisors. Im still undecided if its the best step for me. I have an associates degree from a traditional school already. Im wanting to get a bachelors in business. What are the best schools that offer this online? What kind of experiences have you guys had with this?
A: Phoenix uni on-line...but its not cheap...some of our nurses get there masters from them..
Q: How do you view online degrees?
Some people prefer independent study and choose to obtain a degree in the distance learning format. There are traditional schools who offer online degrees in addition to the classroom option. There are also online-only or correspondence schools which offer distance learning degrees. Would you view their respective degrees the same and why?
A: Well from my own experience, anything you have to learn on -line is alot harder than in a classroom. So I feel on-line studies are equal in comparison.
Q: What are the best schools that offer online degrees in nutrition?
I am interested in possibly becoming a dietition or nutritionist and was wondering what the best schools in Michigan are that offer those degrees online.
A: Stick to this basic rule;
Enroll in STATE COLLEGES that offer on line degrees.
MOST of the on line colleges are NOT accreated so when you graduate, you will not be able to get a job .
And state colleges are cheaper, a lot cheaper, than private on-line schools.
Q: How can we know if foreign online degrees are accredited in India?
There are hundreds of Universities and Institutions that offer online degrees at very low educational cost. How can we find that if these degrees are accredited or approved in India? Or the certificate issued by these authorities are valid in India?
A: The only way to find out is check out with your department of education. They will tell you if these degrees are accredited. Because they not accredited in Europe, plus some states in the USA.
Q: Are Online degrees just as good as degrees obtained by actually going to college?
Are Online degrees looked upon & honored the same way as regular degrees obtained through a 4-year schools?
A: As long as the college is regionally accredited any degree you earn should be recognized and honored by any potential employers and other academic institutions. That having been said not all online colleges are viewed the same just as not all campus colleges are viewed the same. Even within the same college (both online and campus) different programs can be viewed differently by potential employers in various fields. I think you will find that online degrees are growing both in acceptance and in the number of schools offering them as more schools recognize the benefits learning online offer both the school and students. In fact most colleges at this point will not indicate whether a degree is obtained online or on campus.
Whether you choose to attend a campus program or online I would recommend contacting a number of schools to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, reputation by potential employers). Too often people choose to enroll in the first program they find without looking at other options. If you do choose to go the online route this site has some great info on accredited online degrees and some colleges to help begin/expand your search:
http://www.ecollegefinder.org/list-of-online-schools-universities-colleges.aspx
I think you can fill out your contact info on the forms there and the colleges will send you more information for free.
Q: Where can i find a list of the most recognized and accredited colleges that offer "online degrees"?
I want to get an online degree from a univerity that is very recognized. The Harvard of online degrees. Where can i find that?
A: I did a quick search for accredited online degrees and found the site below that shows some of the colleges. I think that there are many considerations to look into when trying to figure out what school is "the best". Similar to campus programs you need to contact a bunch of schools to weigh reputation, convenience, tuition and fit for you.
Q: what are some reasons that people get online degrees rather than going to classes?
im doing a project to see what motive people have for getting their degrees online... any ideas?
also, what do you beleive the pros and cons are?
A: I am considering it mainly for the convenience of working when I can and the lack of gas I will burn going to class.
I am sure the disadvantage will be less contact with tutors and professors when I need help.
Q: What are the best totally ONLINE schools out there for accounting degrees?
I work full time and the nearest college to me is an hour away. I know some companies may feel that online degrees are not as good, but I don't feel I have a choice. However, I do want to go to a college that is regionally recognized and accredited, one that will transfer over to any other college later on when I go back for my masters. Any suggestions? Thanks
A: In my experience online degrees have grown considerably both in the eyes of potential employers and schools offering the programs. In fact many schools do not indicate whether a degree is obtained online or on campus. I do think you are on the right track in making sure that the college is regionally accredited. Additionally I would make sure that you look around at multiple schools (as you would if you were going to a campus) and see what program is best for you. I would also make sure you ask about transferring credits or degrees for later pursuits. I did a search for accredited accounting degrees online and this site seems to have good info and some schools for you to check out. Good luck!
