People whom go to school and recieve a business management degree, after they have recieved their degree how much is the average to start of making.

Q: Where can I get the most respected sports management degree online?
I am looking to get into coaching and a sports management degree I think is the way to go. I have been looking at online schools and so far my leading school is Ashford University. Does anyone know anything about Ashford or any other schools offering the degree? Or, Does anyone know a better way to prepare for a career in coaching? Any advice would be great. Thank You.

A: There are tons of online programs. I personally attended traditional and online-only schools, and I have taught for various online schools and traditional schools over the last five years. All are accredited and solid programs. Schools tend to vary in price, so we could say online schools are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive than a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies. The key is to find a program that is fully accredited. Is it worth it? YES. My career has boomed since my MBA at nearly 5 years ago. I am close to finishing my PhD through distance education, and I am at the job that I want. I know I wouldn’t be here without the education. If you are looking at work in the U.S., then you need a school that is accredited and recognized by the Dept of Ed. I can give more info on that later. You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!

Q: How good is the Business Management degree in Middlesex University?
One of my friends is looking forward to study in Middlesex Uni next year. I just wanted to know if their teaching methods/the degree in whole is just average or the best of the rest... anything regarding their business management degree will be helpful. Thanks in advance! My friend will be based in UK. Other options are Kingston and University of Hertfordshire...

A: The question is where are you locate at? In the United States or England? If you are located in the USA, I would say that Middlesex University is not the College for you. If in England is maybe a good College to go to. The English system of Higher Education is set on a difference skill level than that of the USA. If this to be used in anyother country in the World. I believe that is would be wise to check with the Country National Accredition Agency of how to job market is for that Degree and if the College is accredited.

A: Why don't you look to see what jobs are listed and base your decision on that. first by what appeals to you then by income or vise versa.

Q: What can I do with a business management degree with two minors?
I am currently in college trying to graduate with a bachelors degree in business management and with two minors. I have decided that my two minors are going to be Human Resource Management and the other minor in Finances. (Its not a lot of classes to do this). What can I do with this major and these two minors. (I'm not asking what can I do using these three together...I just want some ideas on careers that I can do with any part of this degree).

A: A great career for you would be an Executive Recruiter. That uses your management and human resources training. If you were to specialize in financial recruiting (ie. Accountants, Financial Analysts, etc.) that would use all three emphasis! (Not that you wanted that, but anyway...) Robert Half is the largest recruiter in the United States, but it is not by any means the only one. Generally, recruiting firms make 1/3 of the candidate's first year salary. So, if you were placing a partner at an accounting firm whose first year salary was $90,000 your firm would make $30,000 on the placement. The financial structure for the associate Executive Recruiter is either salary plus commission or commission only. A commission only is typically 25 percent of the firm fee. So, your accounting partner would make you $7500. A typical Executive Recruiter places 12-15 candidates a year. One field that's really hot right now is health care recruiting, especially Pharmacist recruiting. If you take this route, you will spend much of your time on the phone cold calling candidates and using resume databases to contact potential candidates. This is a fun, financially rewarding profession.

Q: What can you really do with a sports management degree?
I have a Sports Management degree with a public relation emphasis and a broadcast journal or communications minor, what kind of job can i get thats not a sales position and has a good enough salary to support me and a wife to be?

A: Your question concerns me because my 18 year old son (a high school senior) wants to major in sports management. What about sports marketing for say Nike, Wilson, etc.- or possibly work at a golf course, or any of the sports stadiums (i.e. Staples Center). Or, writing for a sports publication. What about teaching/coaching middle school or high school. What did you have in mind when you decided on sports management. My son feels it's pretty diverse, but he's is thinking he should probably just major in management with a minor in sports. Are you having difficulty finding jobs, or are they just low paying to start. Interesting in hearing about your experience.

The degree would be a BAS in Project and Aquisitions management with a special emphasis in Training and Development/Human Resources. My question is can I find a good job with that degree without actually having to be a project manager. I basically just want a business degree and this is the closest thing to it offered at my college.
