Q: Life Experience degrees R 4 people who work in a specific field that DOESNT require a degree like a gardener?
I think Life Experience degrees are for people who makes a living doing something that doesnt require a degree? They can get a degree in gardening, cleaner, houskeeper etc. I been told Brixton University is best life experience degree. I think its a good idea for people who are happily making a living doing something that doesnt require a degree.

A: You're entitled to your opinion but once you put it out there..like this you'll get the opinions of everyone who answers. For me, I think " Life Experience" is just another way of saying " Wisdom" one aquires wisdom simply by living and doing things. There is no degree handed out for Wisdom but you get a degree for Knowledge. Unfortunately, knowledge without wisdom is useless, in my opinon. It is a collection of facts and data but lacking the ability to apply it in the world for which we live or lacking the ability to apply it in a way to be beneficial to anyone. Knowledge provides one with the ability to do something. Wisdom provides one with the ability of when not to do something. Again, this is only my opinion ....

Q: Can I become a military officer with a life experience degree??
I dont have a BA degree but I'm thinking of getting a life experience degree. Will the military accept life experience BA degrees?

A: Go for it. I'd recommend getting a life experience PHD. They usually will start you off as a Major if you have one of those. Life experience degree's are more respected than University degrees in the US Military. Often you can get out of going to OCS with life experience MBA. By doing this the military will know that you all ready have proven leadership qualities. Good Luck

Q: Getting a affordable Life Experience Degree for Bachelors Masters Doctorate?
Looking to obtain a life experience Masters or Doctorate degree online. Can anyone recommend a good online university where they obtained their degree? Thanks

A: A "life experience" degree--i.e. the kind you send away for with a list of "qualifications" and get in the mail in a few weeks--is not a real degree and will not be taken seriously if your prospective employer bothers to look it up. These are diploma mills profiting from common wisdom that you learn as much or more from life experience as in the classroom. And true as that may be, you can already list work/volunteer/military experience on your resume and it will be valued as such. Using it as both experience and education is redundant or dishonest or both, and the "school" granting these is misleading people into wasting their money for a worthless piece of paper. Most jobs are looking for classroom AND work/life experience. One will rarely substitute for the other, and shelling out money to try to beat that will only be a waste (and may destroy your credibility). There is such a thing as a *real* degree earned online, but make sure of what you're getting into. If it sounds too good to be true--cheap, fast, with little or no actual coursework--it probably is.

Q: Anyone Used a "Life Experience" Degree to teach English in China?
I have a friend who bought her degree online with a "life experience degree". How does this work? Isn't this a little dishonest? Doesn't China check these things? And if you have, is it that easy?

A: You're joking, right ? Nothing worthwhile comes easy.No, it's a lot dishonest. It's a lie. Not a good idea.

Q: I think that life experience degree are more valid then the standard degree?
Too me, its all just a bill of Goods. I know people who have spent all of their life savings on college only to be out done by some one with more experience. Can any one challenge me on this? It all sounds good coming from brain washed zombies stuck in a trance, but the bottom line is this, If I started with a company from the ground and worked my way to the top, I would be more qualified than a person fresh out of school with a masters degree. Experience RuleZ!

A: Sure. I know lots of college graduates who are outdoing people without college degrees, therefore a college degree is more valid than life experience. By your logic, my argument is just as valid as yours. By the way...isn't getting a college degree just a different way of experiencing life?

Q: Is holding a life experience degree illegal?
Is holding a life experience degree illegal? Thx!

A: A life experience degree is not illegal, but it's also not recognized as a degree by any employer. Stating that you have a degree in this case would be reason for termination of employment.

Q: I am thinking of getting a life experience degree for accounting, but I have over 15 years exp in the field...
I have heard of these and honestly, I have thought about getting one. I have over 15 years experience, two jobs in 15 years. I currently work as assistant controller for a local firm here and I have hired and fired more young kids with degrees due to lack of knowledge in accounting. I have had at least 3 people in the position of staff accountant and all three screwed up the chart of accounts and I had to fix. I was going to run the position again in the paper, but have decided against it. The current controller is leaving and I am interested in her position, but it requires a bachelor degree. I have an associates degree, but they will not consider me without that piece of paper. And I practically run the accounting department. I am eventually going to leave and get a controller position. Do you guys think that life experience degrees are bad, not professional? I am not lieing about my experience, I just simply need a boost so I can qualify for the job I know I can do. Advice?

A: They no longer offer life experience for accounting/CPA. You must have five years of college.

Q: Are online life experience degrees recognised as much as a traditional degree?
I am doing various online CEU certified courses in psycholgy and I read many book on the topic. I have also attached myself to various institutes to practise. I do not want to waste my time and sit for a BA or BSC. I have decided to get a life expirience degree based on what I already know. Id it recognised?

A: Simply put, no... it will not be recognized to the same degree that a 'real' bachelor's degree will be. Many positions that requires a BS/BA will not even consider you for employment, that doesn't mean that none will; just that most won't. Online degree's overall are looked upon as lessor than a degree given at a physical institution. (a degree for life experience would be even more so) This doesn't mean that the education is bad, but some online school's have... questionable practices when it comes to issuing diploma's and degree's... this carries over to all of the legitimate online schools and the effect is the same; online degrees are less valuable and often looked down upon when it comes to real life employment. Especially when it comes to sciences, psychology included.

Q: What is the validity of life experience degree providing by some on line university?

A: I came across applicants for posts in my organization who stated they have PhDs, Masters from such so-called "universities". I rejected them straight away.. Their CVs and application forms deserved to be placed in the rubbish bin.. Sorry to tell you this.

Q: Life experience college degree?
First off, please reserve your judgments. I need a college degree for visa purposes and i am far to young to have finished earning one. What life experience degree is best? Which is cheapest and fastest? thanks a bunch. thanks for your concern, but I have done ample research. I won't be using this in the US and my employer has actually recommended that I use a degree mill because they are accepted here.

A: In addition to what Roaring provided you: Know that using one of those degrees is illegal (as in go to jail for fraud) in several states in the US. If you insist on doing it that way, you would need to find one that nobody has heard of. If it's well known as "cheap and fast" then everyone else knows that it's "cheap and fast" too. Add: If a degree mill is acceptable to your employer than you'd be foolish not to simply create your own fake university and print yourself a diploma and transcripts on your laser printer. Some person out there has created all of the degree mills, why not start your own. There is no "best" fake diploma. They are all equally fake. The cheapest and fastest fake diploma you can get is one you just make up yourself. If you're going to go with a fake at least be creative about it.

Q: Anyone know of an accredited life experience degree school.?
Life experience degree from an accredited school

A: No legitimate school bestows a degree based on 100% life experience. But there are some good, accredited schools that will have you do a portfolio assessment and a grant you a lot of credit with that. http://www.charteroak.edu

Q: Where can I find the best, cheapest, genuine life experience university degree?
I need real, official certificates to certify my work and life experiences.

A: Some legitimate universities will credit you with life experience for one or two basic level courses, but then require you to take the advanced level course in that area to prove you know your stuff. No legitimate university online or otherwise will give you a degree based on life and work experience. THat is only done by phony diploma mills. You will waste your money, or if it does give you a temporary advantage, then later it will become a millstone around your neck because you will be constantly embarassed and afraid that someone will notice that your "degree" is a fake. THere is no shortcut. Take the courses, get the good grades and then be proud of what you did, just like everyone else has done, and like the people who are asking you to do a degree expect.
