Q: How to become an instructor for online engineering degree programs?
I want to teach undergradute engineering and math classes online through online degree programs. Can anyone tell me how can I become an online instructor for undergraduate engineering degree courses?

A: First thing you need would be your PhD, or becoming a Subject Matter Expert in the subject, then find a school to hire you and then opt for on-line classes.

Q: Where to obtain online degree in civil engineering?
Anyone please help me find a college or university where I can obtain my civil engineering degree online?

A: Any "university" claiming to teach civil engineering wholly online is a snake oil salesman. There is no way to give a full engineering education online, as you cannot have labs.

Q: Does any university offer online Electronics Engineering Degree course?
Hello, :D I'm looking for university that offer distance learning, which also known as online learning , for Electronics Engineering Undergraduate Degree course.

A: There are more and more of them these days. Check the sites below (sources linked). Be sure to check with the professional organizations in the country you plan to be employed, that they recognize degrees from these institutions.

Q: Which univeristies accept transfers from DETC-accredited online engineering associate degrees(i.e.Penn Foster)
I am specifically interested in which accredited universities would accept a transfer of the credits from the mechanical engineering assocites degree obtained from Penn Foster (online DETC-accredited school). It is my understanding that regionally accredited schools do not accept DETC credits unless they are possibly ACE reviewed (some Penn FOster courses are ACE but I do not know about the engineering ones) and this does not guarantee that colleges will accept it even so. Interested specifically in Univ of Maryland, and northern NJ (near NY) colleges (for obtaining Bachelor's in Engineering by transferring Penn FOster credits from Assoc. degree). This may be helpful but I dont know if hte Guide is as specific as what I want to know: http://www.elearners.com/college/pfc/ http://www.pennfostercollege.edu/mecheng/index.html Maybe someone has already done this and knows personally? Thanks a lot for info. Serena

A: Several colleges and Universities acceprt ACE credits. All of Penn Foster's engineering programs are ACE accredited. There is a small list of colleges at www.nationalponsi.org/college_profiles_all.htm Many of which do accept ACE credits. Just like anyother 2-year school in America, not all all of your credits will transfer. I hope this Helps. I'm a penn foster student. I investigated this subject thoroughly before enrolling.

Q: I want Online Certifications, Degrees and Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering?

Please give me websites on universities in the UK or US or Canada, etc. that has the online graduation facility. Please I dont want answers such as "Research, or Google"! Q: Is an online degree in civil engineering equivalent to a regular one gotten in an offline school?
I gotten an online degree for my business associates, yet I always had a love for civil engineering, and was thinking about going back to online school for an associates in it while I worked full time to support myself independently. Would it be harder for me to find work in the civil engineering field with that kind of degree, obtained online, than in a traditional setting?

A: As a civil engineer, I can honestly say that no company I know of would even consider looking at a candidate with an online civil engineering degree. In fact, I don't think that such degrees even exist! Most - no, all companies are interested in engineering candidates with degrees from ABET accredited engineering programs, and there's no way that ABET would accredit an on-line program. If you do come across some place that is advertising an accredited on-line civil engineering degree, treat it like "Bob's Backyard College of Engineering" and run away because it's a scam. If you're interested in getting a civil engineering degree, you'll probably have to do it the old-fashioned way. But no fear!! - I studied with several folks who were working their ways through school and were a little older, and they all did great! The one advantage that engineering progams in general seem to have is lots of scholarships. Even if you start empty-handed in most civil engineering programs, if you keep high grades and seek to get involved a little bit extracurricularly, you shouldn't have a problem getting scholarships.

Q: How do I find a university that will allow me to complete a masters degree in engineering online? Any advice?

A: Which branch of engineering are we talking about here, Nick? EDIT: Whatever program you choose, make sure it is accredited. Stanford offers MS in several engineering disciplines online. And I don't know of anyone who thinks that Stanford is a bad school to attend.

Q: can anyone provide me with online degrees in mechanical engineering sites for international students?
Im a student from Jordan

A: Try Thomson Education Learning http://www.thomsoneducationdirect.com Click on Penn Foster Career School I studies one of their degrees and I live in Israel

Q: electrical engineering online or home study?
I am looking at getting my diploma or degree in electrical engineering. I have to study at home. Anyone know of a university in Canada who offers online learning for this?

A: No, it doesn't seem there are any. Check out this site for what's available. I know Athabasca offers a bachelor of science online. Electrical Engineering is a very difficult program, it would be quite challenging do to by yourself, without the resources of teachers and classmates. Not to say you couldn't do it, just that most people couldn't.

Q: any institute is there from where i can do online degree in civil engineering?
i have done diploma in civil engineering in 1999 and working since then i have got 8 yrs of experience, any such institue is there?

A: University of North Dakota offers ABET-accredited "distance" degrees in Engineering. Students must to visit the school from time to time. I'm an engineer. I don't think distance learning is a viable way to get an Engineering education at the undergraduate level. Maybe it's OK at the Master's level.

Q: Does te government give aid to online school degrees?
I am trying to get a bachelor's degree online. But they are very expensive. I was wondering if the state of georgia or the U.S. govt. give any sort of aid for online degrees. I am an assistant manager in one of the plants of a concrete company, a very big company. the question is, since they promote from within the company, would a civil engineer tech degree be helpful? They also have a concrete mix design department, would the degree help me at all? Are those civil engineer tech degrees any helpful? Are civil engineer technician degrees any good?

A: ABSOLUTELY !! Federal and state programs allow you to get aid for your education - even online. You'll need to contact the Financial Aid Dept at that school and they'll point you to FAFSA: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov . To answer your question about promotion, the best thing to do is to go to your boss and ask them directly and ask them to be honest with you. They should shoot you straight. Best of luck !!!

Q: Help! I am trying to find a university that will allow me to complete a masters degree in engineering online?

A: Information is below.

Q: I am pursuing an MBA at university of Phoenix. Upon completion I am looking for a online engineering program.?
I work six months out of the year on an oil production platform. I am forced to pursue my next degree online. I am looking for any type of accredited engineering or engineering technology programs that are offered online. The program could be petroleum or mechanical. I understand that their are diploma mills and I want to avoid these at all cost. I am looking for a degree that will help with advancement, in the oil and gas industry. I hope to combine my MBA in with this engineering course. I have found a few programs, but they were not accredited and accreditation means everything. Making a wise decision now will affect my future. I would appreciate any advice!

A: If you want an engineering degree from an accredited institution, resign yourself to applying to an accredited school and studying on site.
