Q: What education/ degrees needed to go into the financial field.?
What kind of education background do I need to become a financial advisor. Do you know of any good online schools? I just got my life licence and will be learning more about investing through New York Life... in a few months I want to get my securities licence... so I do want to further my education in this area. what degrees do I need if I were to go back to school... THANKS
A: TWO SUGGESTIONS:
-Get a Bachelors Degree from a recognized College, with a major in Finance or Financial Management. Do not just rely on training from a Brokerage House or an Insurance Company. These will only equip you with enough knowledge to sell their products & services. You really need a broader understanding of the financial World. Once you have that, then the training from an insurance or a brokerage can equip you with product knowledge and teach you how to sell their services in answer to a prospects specific needs.
-While training with an insurance or brokerage, begin studying to get a CFP designation. That will really round out your professional education.
Also, begin reading Forbes & Business Week magazines and the daily Wall Street Journal newspaper.
Q: Education degrees?
I graduated in Mexico as engeener from a University, I'am a US citizen, How do I transfer o make valid my Title in the USA?
A: You might need to take some additional courses here. It depends on what you want to pursue with your Engineering degree. You might want to inquire at a local school. If you are looking to teach, you can submit a request for information from the state teaching board. If you are looking for employment as an engineer, you might want to contact one of the companies that you are interested in and see what their minimum requirements are.
Please have someone proofread your requests before you send them.

and what's a good place to settle at if i want to make alot of money?
i need some advice here ppl.
i'm still in h.s. but i wanna start early.please help!

Hi All,
Just wondering, ppl are getting more and more of education, why?, they need more money, more salary, more financial freedoms, so which education is highly paid?. Anyone?
A: I'm not sure if you are looking for which degrees generally lead to high salaries or if you are specifically interested in education degrees. Here's a list from PayScale.com that might answer your question: http://www.payscale.com/best-colleges/degrees.asp The list shows different college degrees and ranks them based on salary potential. To the right of each degree you will see the median starting and mid-career salary for each one.
Hope that helps
Q: Do companies really verify education degrees?
If someone were to add a bachelors degree to a resume that they dont really have. If they get hired what are the chances someone verifies that information.
A: These days...pretty good chance.
Considering the amount of money companies spend in hiring and orientation of new employees wouldn't you check?
Suppose they don't....but you get found out later. The company could...if they so choose to...charge you with fraud and have you arrested.
I know I would.

A: The advantages of having a degree is rather obvious. Likelihood of a better paid job, better understanding of the world around us, and being an informed citizen to name just a few.
Thanks
Bill

A: Almost every college has education degrees. It's the 'bread and butter' money maker at almost every university.
Right up there is business. Almost everyone teaches business.
That doesn't mean that they're all great. Some are better than others. The Teacher's College at Columbia University is generally thought to be the best college of education in the US.
Q: Why are there general education requirements for college degrees?
I am wondering why college students must take so many general education classes. I thought that was what high school was for! This is why my GERs are so easy and I am just breezing through them. I wish that along with my degree requirements I didn't have to take math, science and language classes, just history and social sciences. I feel like I'm wasting my time taking the same classes I had in high school over again, and wish I had taken more AP tests.
I was priveleged to have had a college-level high school education. I have taken courses like chemistry, physics, english and foreign languages at a college level already. A lot of the students at my high school who went on to college have said that their GERs are easy as well.
A: The thing about college that students rarely realize is that the university level programs are not about teaching you to become a
Q: How much do you pay to get higher education? What degrees do you plan to acquire?
Please say which country you are from?
To study for free you should be one of the best, even if you are just very clever it's not enough. You should be the cleverest and the luckiest. The rest pay about 1800-2000$ per year.
A: I'm in the US -- Miami, FL. (Florida International University)
I get in-state tuition rates.
As an undergraduate, I paid $102.08 per credit. (Except I didn't really pay because I had a scholarship)
As a graduate student, I pay 238.56 per credit. (Except I don't really pay that much because I have a graduate assistantship and it pays my tuition)
Currently, I'm working on my masters, but I plan to get a PhD.
FIU has some of the lowest tuition rates in the nation, however.
