Q: Which colleges in Washington State could I obtain an online early childhood education degree?
I just moved to Eastern Washington. I am unable to attend classes in a "brick and mortar" school and am looking to do online schooling. I am looking to get an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have done some research but the schools I have looked up/called don't offer what I am wanting. I had seen things from places like Ashworth University, Westwood University and a few others but they aren't regionnally accredited and I don't think they have a real "brick and mortar" school aka diploma mills. My ultimate goal is to have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Special Education so that I can be an elementary special education teacher. I just need some guidance as to which regionnally accredited schools offer Early Childhood Education Associate's Degrees online. Any help at all is GREATLY appreciated.

Here you will find enough information that will help you solving your question.
Q: Music Education-Bachelors Degree online?
Is there a college which offers an online program to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Music Education?
A: No, not yet.
There are some programs out there with good teacher ed. online but nothing that would get you the K-12 music certificate.
It will probably become an option in the next couple years, Boston, East Carolina, U Hawaii Manoa, South Florida, Austin Peay have master's in MuEd online and Boston has their DMus in MuEd online.
You could do a Bachelor of Music via one of the assessment colleges (Excelsior, Thomas Edison State, or Charter Oak) and then do an alternate route to certification but getting the major classes online is a real challenge.
For now, undergrad MuEd is a head to campus degree. Good luck.
Add: How to do methods and applied online. You don't really do them "online" you do them via distance learning contract. You find a teacher locally who your college finds qualified and that teacher conducts your applied and reports to the college.
For the student teaching and internships it's the same deal. You make arrangements at a school locally and are supervised there. They report to your school.
Q: Do you have to have a high school degree to get an online degree?
Can you get a degree in education online if you do not have a high school degree or GED?
A: In most cases you need a high school diploma to be admitted to a university program. There are a few exceptions, such as being able to reigister at some universities as a mature student without full high school graduation.
Q: Bachelor's Degree in Education online.?
Currently, I have a serious dilemma I am facing. Very soon I will have my associate's degree and look to transfer to a 4 year university so that I can earn my bachelor's degree in education. I work full time as a teacher and I am seeking to gain my certification but, in my area the only university that offers a bachelor's degree (University of South Carolina Beaufort) offers all of their courses that I need in the morning when I have to be at work. There is no way I can afford to work part time or even worse, go without a job. Does anyone know of any provision that may be available to individuals that have worked in the classroom for sometime that can provide an easier route to teaching or of a reputable school that offers a bachelor's degree of education online?
University of Phoenix was an option but I have heard so much negativity about the school that now I am not sure.
Thanks in advance for all intelligent responses as anything else will be ignored.
A: many 4 year universitys have online programs for their degrees....
ex: http://www.distancelearning.ufl.edu/
Q: where to study online degree in education with a british university?
A: Why do you want to do this? If you want to work in schools then you need to engage with schools and school children. This will help you to know if it's the right thing for you. You can't learn to swim or ride a bike without doing it.
If your focus is education management then a remote degree would be apt, but only if you already had practical experience to put it into context.
Q: Anyone pursuing a degree via online distant education?
I am thinking of enrolling for a course online, I would like to know about your experience.
A: Check out http://go4onlinedegree.googlepages.com/
hope it helps
Q: does Brown University offer an online degree in Education?
A: Top schools like Harvard, Oxford, UC-Berkeley, Stanford, Duke, Berklee Music, etc... teach online. It's not 1981 any longer.
I surfed around Brown's pages and did not see a degree in education offered by distance.
Q: Is online education and the various degree they provide like MBA etc useful?
Like if 1 has to take a online degree of MBA,is it purposeful....
A: An on-line degree can be just as valuable as one earned through a traditional, on-campus degree program--if the on-line program is sponsored by an accredited/credentialed college or university that has a solid reputation.
The question really should be whether an on-line program can meet your specific educational needs as well as a traditional program. Before you rush off to enroll, stop a moment and consider whether or not virtual learning is right for you.
Is the class or program of study offered by an accredited university?
Does this university have a solid reputation in the field in which you will pursue your coursework or degree?
What sort of training do the instructors have?
How long will it take to complete a course or program of study?
Are all of the classes taught on-line or will you need to attend a real classroom some of the time?
Is the class taught in real-time (meaning you'd have to log on during specific hours/times/days), or is time management up to me?
How much will it cost me?
And, finally, is there any financial aid available to me?
If, after working through these questions, you're satisfied with your answers, an on-line degree program may well be a good match for you.
Good luck!
Q: Can One Get Their Degree in Nursing Online?
In addition to nursing, may one get a degree in Education online?
Thank!
A: I should hope not -unless you still needed to do a practical term before fully qualifying. I would hate to be injected or examined by someone who only knew in theory what they were doing.
Q: What do you think about the education gotten in online? Is any different between online and campus degree?
I am afraid if employers will think sceptical about the degree getting inonline, or it is full the same.
A: You need to be sure that the college that you are enrolled in is an accredited college before starting classes. Most on-line colleges are, but there are some that are just out for a scam.
I attended an on-line college (which was fully accredited) and my employer granted my raise application because my degree was valid. On-line classes are just as difficult as campus classes - you will need to "log in" to your class at least 5 times a week and participate actively (answering questions, contributing to discussions, completing papers) in order to receive a passing grade. I completed 37 credits in a little less than 3 years, so it does take just as long as it would in a "traditional" campus college, the only difference was that I could "go to class" at 3 am if I wanted to.
Q: What is the best online degree in distance education(masters)?
A: Its depend on the degree you want to do, there are few online universities, pls check wid em and select the appropriate one.
Q: Where can I study for a degree in Education in Ireland online?
A: I think the only Irish online course in Education is a H Dip in Primary Education offered by the site below:
A primary degree can be obtained online from Oscail, distance education from DCU
Q: If you obtain a degree online is it looked down upon by employers?
Im thinking of obtaining an online degree for education and to become a pharmacy. Do you think my chances of finding employment will be slim since I would have obtained a degree online?
I meant to say pharmacist not pharmacy
A: Colleges of pharmacy have prejudice against brick and mortar community colleges, and so, they will probably have prejudice against online only colleges. A lot of people do not consider getting a degree from an online college to be a real degree. Also, pharmacy prereqs require lab courses, and online colleges cannot give that to you.
Q: Do any online schools (like the Open University in England) offer a Bachelor of Education degree?
I checked with the OU, because I've been a student there before. But sadly, they don't offer such a degree course.
I want to complete this as a step on the way to qualifying as a teacher.
A: Phoenix online does: http://www.phoenix.edu/online_and_campus_programs/degree_programs/degree_programs_description.aspx?progversion=10&locationid=-1
Good Luck!!!
Q: what is your opinion on online education?
please give me your opinion on online education, what do you think about getting a degree online?, if we are almost alone when we study our degrees? what makes online different??, give me your opinion please.
A: Some online school's make you work for the papers some do not.
I attended a University that offfered many of their classes online. However I found when I got to the 300 and 400 level classes I needed a teacher in front of me for some subjects like programming and Calc. English I could do online for any level. Some others where more fun in a classroom. However work conflicts always made online an option.
If you do online and see students getting away with unethical actions you know the University is not up to snuff. Otherwise you get out of it what you put in it.
What makes it different is: for those of us with work and a family it allows us to flex our time to try to improve ourselfs.
