I can't seem to find a hot and lucrative technology degree. Also, what would be a good business degree to pair with a tech degree? Please give me all the information you can and know. Thanks Soooooooooooooo Much!

A: Hey! To suggest something i might some info from your side. I mean your educational background, your stream as in science or arts or some other? You are looking for some Graduation course or some PG course. Also the choice depends upon your area of interest. But as you have asked for info related to tech degree followed by some business degree, I would suggest you to think about this. For Tech related purpose: You can go for B.Tech in Neno tech. That's a booming field and will leave you with enough time to opt some part time courses well like BBA or B.com In case you were talkin about PG degree then the choice will be absolutely different. Q: What jobs can I get with a bachelor of science in technology degree?
I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Technology degree in, Architecture/Environmental Design Studies . I will not me continuing on to receive my master's to become a licensed Architect. So I was wondering what jobs will I be able to get and what will I be limited to???

A: Getting the masters degree is cool, but there are good jobs for a person with your background, which do not require it. Working in your favor is the fact that you have not yet graduated, so you have some time. I am a little out of touch with current hiring practices in the industry, but I do have a suggestion: Talk to your college instructors and other graduating seniors. Talk and talk and talk. Pick brains and ask for suggestions. Ask a professor for any contacts he/she might have in the industry, to whom you might go for a "consulting interview." If you get a name and phone number, offer to take the person to lunch, talk to them as though they were your uncle, asking for career advice but also slipping into conversation a few things about your qualifications and strengths (you might be talking to a potential employer right there). Failing a recommendation by a professor, try cold-calling an architectural firm that you admire. Ask to speak with one of the partners, tell them you're still in college but looking for career advice, and broach the idea of the consulting interview. By the way, in general this is one of the best ways to get a job. Best of success.

Q: How can I study online Environmental Technology degree in Canada or UK?
I'm SIMON CHIWANGA from Tanzania persuing BSc. Environmental Sciences and Management at the Sokoine University of Agriculture, and I need to study more in Envirinmental Technology at the same time I'm doing my first degree as I have mentioned above. I'll be capable of persuing both of them. "MAY GOD BLESS YOU"

A: You need to contact the university or universities that you are interested in Canada or UK. Some of them allow "distance learning" and some do not; without looking at each one I cannot know. Do you have an idea of the universities? I also think you need to look at the cost of studying online from another country. In Tanzania, the cost is about 3 million Tsh a year at the most for all expenses including books, dormitory, and food. However, overseas you will find that costs of masomo will be at least 4 million Tsh a year, and normally close to 10 million Tsh a year -- that is without the cost of books, dormitory, or food! That is in Canada -- the costs in the UK are known as the highest in the world and are much more. Be careful in what you decide, but there will be no sponsorships for an online course. I have searched in my own attempt to get teacher certification, and it is not offered to *anyone.* Think carefully about it!

Q: Is a Computer Science and Information Technology Degree the same thing?
I know Information Technology is offered through online classes and Computer Science degrees are offered through a traditional college learning setting. I was wondering if there is a difference as far as curriculum.

A: Usually no. Computer Science involves a lot of programming (different languages such as C/C++, VB.NET, etc.), study of operating systems, compilers, networks, etc. Information Technology, or IT for short, usually involves more of the business aspect of technology. IT Managers manage Programmers (CS people).

Q: Who accredits radiologic technology degree programs?
Is JRCERT the only board that certifies radiologic technology degrees, or is there a "higher authority" I need to look up? I found one program offered by a community college that is via distance learning (which would be ideal for me) and is JRCERT accredited. Thanks!

A: JRCERT is the accrediting board for radiologic technology. Most states have many JRCERT accredited programs. There are many schools in many states where you can get trained to be a radiologic technologist (the proper term for a x-ray tech). You can attend a hospital based program (and earn a certificate), a 2 year college program (AS degree), and even a 4 year college program (BS degree). The hospital based programs are the least expensive, and honestly, I think the education received there is superior. Once you graduate and take your registry exam, no future employer is going to care what type of educational program you went through. All they care about is your license. You can find an accredited RT program at this site. Just search "radiography" and your state...links are provided which will give you additional information on each program (cost, duration of program, contact person): http://www.jrcert.org/cert/Search.jsp

Q: What is the difference in Associates of Applied Science degree and an Associates of Applied Technology degree?
I know that generally medical related jobs are science and computer related degrees are technology, but what about accounting? Why would that be a science?

A: Associate degrees are conferred by a two-year college after the prescribed course of study has been successfully completed. Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree programs prepare students for careers, career changes and career advancement at the technician or technologist level. AAS programs may also prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions. It is an occupational degree and is the only degree FVCC awards with a specified area of emphasis. These programs offer training in recognized technologies and specialties with emphasis on analysis, synthesis and evaluation. The program content, which is approximately 30 percent general education, provides both depth and breadth in conceptual and manipulative skills. General education courses in the areas of communications, humanities and mathematics, as well as in life, physical and social sciences, help equip students with the problem-solving, technical and social skills to compete successfully in the job market. Other courses, determined regionally, provide flexibility to meet the specific needs of local employers. Applied Technology Major fields of study offered by this division include air conditioning, architectural drafting, automotive collision repair technology, automotive technology, building safety and code administration, cabinetmaking technology, computer aided drafting and design, construction, electronic technology, environmental technology, fire technology, graphic communications, industrial education, networking/computer technician, manufacturing technology, photography, and welding/metal fabrication. Transfer college programs in architecture and industrial technology are available. Apprenticeship training and trade extension classes, in addition to other fields of study offered by the Technical and Industrial Division, are also available in the evening programs.
