Q: can a person take the real estate exam without going to real estate school?
I'm interested in the real estate career but to shortened the question: Can I just take the real estate exam without going to school.
A: You can take online classes. I am in California and you have to have 3 classes from an accredited school in order to be a real estate agent. Once you've completed those classes, you can take the exam.
Q: Do you have a GED or Highschool diploma to go to real estate school?
I would like to become a real estate agent and Im working on my GED. Im planning on paying over 200 dollars to go to school and 1200 dollars for licenseing. I want to know if you MUST HAVE it to go.
A: Generally, the only rule for admission is that you must meet your state's licensing eligibility requirements. Many states DO require that you have a GED or high school diploma, so check your state's requirements here:

Q: should I drop out of college for Real Estate school?
I graduated early from high school last year, and decided to attend community college. Well now that I'm about to turn 18, I want to go for my Loan Officer license and i found this Real Estate school that will give me the courses i need and prep for the state exam. Do you think this is a good idea? I plan to go back to college to get a degree after I become a loan officer.
I'm going to finish this next semester of community college and then register at Real Estate School.
A: Well now that I see your additional info I dont see any problems. Finish your semester and bank the credits. They'll still be there when you want then.. Move on to something that will put actual money in the bank. You may want to look around for a part time job as a car salesman. Since many are commision only the job is pretty easy to get. As you dont get paid unless you sell. The job is very similar to Real estate. Selling upcharges, talking people shopping for a cheap car into expensive. Determinig needs and interests handling objections closing the deal. Then the sfter deal process of financing, paperwork credit checks etc etc.. A car sales job will let you get your feet wet without diving in.
Q: Grants or student loans for real estate school?
I would like to go to real estate school and get my license but I'm strapped on funds. Any suggestions?
A: Look in your local paper. There are usually some real estate brokers that will pay for your classes. This is a tough time to enter the real estate business, but you may find what you are looking for. If you don't find that in the papers, google "free real estate classes" and list in that your local board of realtors, which is different depending on what area you are in.
The brokers who give free real estate classes may have stipulations though, such as that you complete at least one sale or you have to pay them back.
You could also try calling brokers. Some may agree to foot the bill on the classes for you until you get a sale in, but the paper is your best bet.
By the way, a warning...you need money to start in real estate. There will be other fees, such as joining your local board of realtors, business cards, etc. It usually takes a minimum of six months to really get an income. You either need another job, or a good cushion of money to tide you over.
Q: Best Commercial Real Estate school or certification?
I want to learn more about the commercial real estate industry. I do NOT want to go to a 4-year university to do so. Can you recommend a crash course school or certification?
A: You can get your regular RE license, then take the CCIM course. Commercial is tough, make sure you get a great mentor on this.
Q: Is there a online real estate school that offers financing?
I want to take on line courses for real estate licensing but don't have the money all at once to do it. Is there a way i can take it online through one of the online schools that are not actual colleges and have it paid for by federal financial aid, none of the colleges near me actually have the courses themselves...please..need some info!
A: I doubt it, they are usually not accredited schools online.
You should check around, you should be able to find one under 200.
How do you expect to actually work without any money? You do know that no one pays you? There are lots of fees to joing the boards? MLS?
Q: what is the best online real estate school?
i printed out the pa real estate commisions approved education providers and now have a list of a hundred different sites. is it going to matter when i go to start in the actual field, what school i learned from? if i decide to join a large company like century21 and such will they judge me on the credibility of the school i got online training from?
A: I used realestateexpress.com. I hate on line schools but that is only option I had, the closed school house one was close to a 200 mile round trip. Nobody care where you get your training from, just that you have a license.
Q: does it matter which online real estate school i choose?
i printed out the pa real estate commisions approved education providers and now have a list of a hundred different sites. is it going to matter when i go to start in the actual field, what school i learned from? if i decide to join a large company like century21 and such will they judge me on the credibility of the school i got online training from?
A: It does matter a great deal./ Some schools will be more prestigious than others. Even mor importantly you will learn more at some schools that at other schools.
Q: what real estate businesses pay for real estate school?
I am currently a Leasing Agent and I want to quit my job and work for a Real Estate office and get my Real Estate license, I need to find a company that will pay for my Real Estate schooling. Does anyone know of any that do this?
A: Check with some of the big chains like C-21, Coldwell Banker some have there own schools and or will pay for your schooling.
Q: who is the best real estate school in california to get your real estate license with that is BBB rated?

A: Try Anthony School

Q: Are online real estate school credible references?
In other words, does it look bad that someone got their real estate licence online as opposed to going to an actual school?
A: All that matters is if you pass your state real estate exam. Most community college offer this course for a few weeks for a low cost.
Q: Looking for Real Estate School in SF Bay Area?
I need 5 more Real Estate classes to be able to sit for the RE Broker exam. I prefer live classroom courses vs. online classes. (Online classes bore me, and I need the interaction with a live teacher to in order to learn.) Aside from community colleges, does anyone know of any real estate schools that offer classroom based RE courses in the SF Bay Area?
A: This is the wrong category for your question since it has nothing to do with special education. Try posting in another section such as higher education and you might get a more helpful answer.
Q: How do i get a foot in the door,if i want to be a real estate agent? School what are the first steps?
I also want to know do i try to get hired with real estate company, then they send me to school or do i take care of school on my own.
A: You do EVERYTHING on your own. You have a broker, that YOU PAY.
Yes, you sign up and take the classes (I did it online in a few months) then take the test (it often takes people more than one attempt to pass). Then get a broker to sponsor you. You will have to pay them a fee to cover your E&O insurance, advertising, office fees, email fees, etc. It will probably run you $85 - $200 per month. Then you have to pay your REALTOR fees, and your Supra key.
You'll also have to buy your signs, flyer holders, business cards, name tage, etc.
You are typically responsible for finding your own clients. You should find a mentor in the business and get them to help you. Most Brokers will also spend time talking to you in advance.
Q: Best Real Estate School for being an Agent or Broker?
What is the best Real Estate schools to get knowledge on becoming a real estate agent or broker? It doesn't matter which state it is for or if its online. Just real estate schools in general that will give a person an edge to learning what is important.
A: Honestly, what you learn in school is a great base knowledge but applies to less than 10% of what you'll need to know to be successful in the business.
Since all schools teach the same thing (pretty much), pick a school that teaches in the way you learn.
In my opinion don't spend more than you need. If you can read a book, you can learn alot faster than sitting in class for weeks at a time. Find away to pass it as fast as you can. It will be easier to remain focused like that. You'll learn more on your first real estate transaction with the assistance of your broker than you'll ever learn in school. Just make sure you learn where to look to find the answers to questions you'll have later. Thats the important thing.
I learned online very quickly and passed the test my first time through without difficultly. But that's because I picked a school that fit me.
Q: Tax question- When filing taxes are real estate, school, county and city taxes all included in Property taxes?
Trying to use Turbo Tax----Asking for Property taxes (in PA), but doesn't have a line or question about school, city or county taxes.
A: Generally they are all in one package--the county bills you for the county, school, library, mosquito abatement, etc.
When itemizing you can take all taxes paid, whether lumped together or not.
