A: Try this page

Q: What is the website of Upper arlington high school,Ohio?
Hello! Could anybody here tell me what is the website of the Upper arlington high school, columbus,Ohio? Thanks a lot if you could help me.
A: Here's the school district website: http://www.uaschools.org/
The high school's page: http://www.uaschools.org/page.aspx?id=10082
Q: Was it necessary for the news story about the Ohio school shooter to mention what shirt the guy was wearing?
Do you think since Columbine and obviously as it continues today the media is trying to perpetuate the false assumption that music and games cause kids to turn violent REGARDLESS of the kids' environment? (the story said the kid was wearing a marilyn manson shirt, NOT IMPORTANT TO THE STORY!!!)
I blame parents, low-to-no school funding, school counselors and officials, bullying and a host of other reasons that would rank much higher than music or games.
We even know by now the kid had some mental problems, why not go with that and just skip the scapegoating of marilyn manson?
I'm not defending marilyn manson's music, I hate it myself, I just don't think it is a catalyst like the media is making it out to be (and they did the same thing with Columbine, if you remember, and whenever a kid shoots up a school they gotta go dig through the kids' CD collection instead of looking at the REAL PEOPLE around him/her that caused them to act like they did)
All I'm saying is put the important stuff like the mental health, family life (they said something about domestic violence in the family and didn't elaborate, yet they told us what was on his t-shirt as if THAT was more important) and school environment into the story and stop trying to blame things that have little to no impact on a person's behavior.
I could just be the only person in the world who doesn't allow media to affect my feelings and thoughts and instead uses it as a means to escape reality...
I'm glad some of you are getting this
A: If the info in the first answer is correct, then I can see it being mentioned. But generally speaking, I agree with you. My first thought when I read about the shirt was accompanied with a rolling of eyes. And this kid had a history of mental problems. Maybe, in his twisted mind, his "worship" of Marilyn Manson played some small part, but what is the role of this kid's parents in this situation? With the Virginia Tech shooter, I think his parents truly felt like he was past the worst of his problems, but he was not in their home for them to see his downward spiral. This kid in Ohio was a minor still living at home, so it would be interesting to hear about his home life and parents.
Q: Do you agree with the Ohio school for suspending a six year old with a mohawk?
I know I do. The parents are freakin' ridiculous a mohawk is one of the ugliest hair cuts ever imaginable. Why the heck would you even think of giving a six year old that haircut? It's fine for a halloween costume and that's about it.
A: What, we're going to kick kids out of school for being ugly or having no taste now? Not that I think the kid is ugly--just going off what you said.
It's just a haircut. Perhaps not what I would choose for my son, but it's certainly not worth expelling the kid over.
What are they going to dictate next?
Q: Where can I find an Art School in Ohio?
I am currently 13, but when I turn 18 I plan on going to an Art specialated school. I need to find one thats in Ohio or close to it. Thanks you!
A: Dont limit yourself the art education. Try a four year University where you can take courses in science, history, philosophy, etc. You are given the same "art education" as you would at an Art institute but are given a better overall education which lends itself to art. When you get older you may want to decide what media you wish to pursue and research schools with established departments which fit your needs.
Q: What happens if you forget to pay Ohio school district income tax ? Can you get arrested?
This is the only year I haven't paid them and work never took schoool taxes out. What should I do?
A: We had this same problem here at work a few years ago. Out of 125 employees we had 3 that lived in school districts with a school district income tax. The state of Ohio made it very, very clear that it was mandatory for the employer to withhold the school district income tax from the employees' paychecks.
Ohio has a Q&A page for this tax withholding: http://www.tax.ohio.gov/faqs/content/school_district_income/qa02.asp
Here are some sample questions and answers:
Q. We only have one employee living in a taxing school district. Can that employee make estimated payments to cover the tax?
A. No. If you are conducting business in Ohio and employing residents of taxing school districts, you must withhold the school district tax.
Q. Our software won't allow us to withhold school district tax. Can the employee take care of it himself?
A. If you are conducting business in Ohio, you are required to withhold the school district tax from affected employees. You should withhold the tax manually if your software program doesn't allow for the withholding.
So, you see. There's no way that you could have "forgotten" to pay the Ohio school district income tax if your employer had been following the law.
Read through all of those frequently asked questions and then forward them to your employer. (Our employer corrected their way of doing business immediately!)
Also, see the refernce below.
Q: I already have a bachelor's of arts in communication, what do I need to teach high school in Ohio?
I graduated form the University of Toledo with my bachelor's in communication with an emphasis in public relations, and I've decided I want to teach high school. I live in Ohio, and would like to stay in Ohio, preferably in the Columbus area.
What sort of certification programs are available, and what all do I need to complete my certification to teach?
A: You go on to get either another Bachelors in education or you can get a Masters degree and you could either teach in high school or college.
Q: Where can I find and Art School in Ohio?
I am currently 13, but when I turn 18 I plan on going to an Art specialated school. I need to find one thats in Ohio or close to it. Thanks you!
A: Almost all state universities in Ohio have fine arts schools where you can major in a particular type of art. The larger universities will offer more different types of majors in arts than smaller state universities. A good way to learn about these programs is to go to the university's website, and then find the specific webpage for their "school of fine arts".
There are several private "art institutes" or "music institutes" in Ohio that are schools entirely devoted to art like the Cleveland Institute of Art, or the Art Institute of Cincinnati. Oberlin College is another very well nationally respected arts and music school.
Another thing to consider about an arts school - other than its reputation - is its location. You might want to be in or near a big city like Cleveland, because you have easier access to museums, galleries, and theater. Cleveland does in fact have the most prestigeous museums, galleries, and theater in the state of Ohio - and some of the best in the country. So I would think that Cleveland State, Cleveland Institute of Art, and Case Western would be really good places to look at.
Q: I go to school in ohio, but my home is in another state. Which state should/can I register in to vote?
I live in ohio during the school year, but during the summer I live in another state. Where should I register? Can I choose either?
A: If you are a Democrat then, I am begging you please .... please... please register in ohio. Winning in Ohio=Winning the election! If you are a Republican register in your home state LOL. Okay I'm just teasing, you should register in Ohio regardless of political affilitions, because there every vote counts. I'm just bitter because I live in CA.
Q: What is a good boarding school in Ohio that specializes in theatre?
I currently live in Mississippi but my father is considering a job transfer to Ohio. If he does so, we will be living in a very small town where theatre is practically unheard of and as an aspiring actress, that simply will not work for me. Can anyone tell me of any boarding schools in Ohio?
A: The Andrews School
Grand River Academy
Olney Friends School
Western Reserve Academy
boarding schools are not big in the midwest. The east coast has many more.
Q: How many school districts are there in Ohio?
How many school districts does Ohio have, and are they classified in any way?
Also, which school district is the largest, and which is the smallest?
Thanks!
A: It looks like there are 613 public schools in Ohio. The Ohio Department of Education had a pretty detailed data page with all kinds of statistics for Ohio Schools. You can go to www.ode.state.oh.us, then click on Data. or try this link: http://www.ode.state.oh.us/GD/Templates/Pages/ODE/ODEPrimary.aspx?page=2&TopicID=3&TopicRelationID=3
The State of Ohio uses demographics to classify school districts. The link for the info is here: http://www.ode.state.oh.us/GD/Templates/Pages/ODE/ODEDetail.aspx?page=3&TopicRelationID=399&ContentID=12833&Content=56119
