Please give me the 50 top high schools in NJ. People think that is the best on the first one, then so on. Or just high schools that have good education. Or good learning environment. Q: Is there a guideline for fence installations at schools in NJ?
My 5 yr old son was injured yesterday at school when he ran into the school metal fence and his foot went completely underneath the fence. The metal went through his shoe & cut his foot. The fence is completely unsecure at the bottom , it kind of buckles out in portions. My relatives say the fence is supposed to be secure at the bottom. Is there some kind of code or guideline for school fencing?

A: You should consult an attorney, the fence was apparently defective or an injury could not have occurred, in this type of suit an initial consultation would be free and you would have expert advise.~

Q: Is it legal for NJ public schools to make summer assignments due in the summer while school is not in session?
I'm in a highschool where for every honors class you take you have a summer assignment; however, I've had two assignments due during the summer before school even started. I had one due in July and one in mid August.

A: Thats just silly, did you go to turn yours in, and everybody laughed? Think back, did you get a report card for that year? Your in honors, or is it a "friend"?

Q: How are the public schools in Pompton Lakes, NJ? How is the that town?
I saw a house I liked in Pompton Lakes NJ. I am not very familiar with the town and would like to know more about the area. Is this a good town to live in. How are the public schools. Do they have programs for kids?

A: You can't be serious.. NY and PA schools can't even come close to NJ schools. Pompton Lakes is a great little town. I moved there a couple years ago to start a family and do not regret it. I do live near an old Dupont factory which has been making local headlines lately with stories how they polluted the ground water with industrial de-greaser solvents but that only affects about 350 homes and they are providing a solution very quickly. One thing I liked about PL was how close it was to several major highways, including route 208, 287, 23, and 80 which makes commuting pretty easy. There is also bus stops in town and a train about 10 minutes away on route 23 that can take you to the path train to NYC. Shopping is decent. Less than 10 minutes away on 23, they have a Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Linens and things, Bed bath and beyond, Target, Sports Authority, Borders, Pier 1 and some others. They have been building a lot over there and there is more on the way. Also 15 minutes away is Willowbrook mall and about 20 minutes or less is Garden State Plaza in Paramus. Some town info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pompton_Lakes Although I do not have kids yet attending any of the schools, this website may be helpful in seeing how Pompton Lakes compares to other towns: http://education.state.nj.us/rc/rc07/index.html Hope this helps.

Q: How are the desks at Rahway, Milburn, or Linden high schools in Union County, NJ?
I'm taking the SATs in May and I need to know if the desks at Rahway, Milburn, or Linden high schools in Union County, NJ are separate (like a separate chair and a separate desk) or are the desks and chairs connected as one piece?

A: from what I saw at Linden the desks & chairs are connected (and very flimsy, if you lean on them wrong while standing, they fall over!) :) Not sure if it's the same in *every* room, though...
