What's Grade School all about? How would you sum all of Grade School in 3 sentences?

A: Grade school is the same thing as elementary school. It's a school for young children and it usually has the first 6 or 8 grades of a child's school years. It's also called grammar school and primary school.

My daughters are in grade school and they go to bed at 8:00 on school nights. They sometimes fall asleep on their own before this time. My sisters both have 2 children each around the same ages and their kids go to bed around 10-10:30 on school nights. I was just curious to see what time other children go to bed and am wondering the reason behind the bedtime.

A: I try to make sure my kids are in bed eary enough to get a good ten hours sleep each night. --- I am a teacher and I see the correlation between a good rest and good grades/attitude in my students all the time.

If I decide to home-school one or more of my children, what legal requirements do I have to meet in Illinois? One child is in 5th grade, the other would be in kindergarten next year. The reason would be the lack of quality education and quality teachers available where we live.

A: The main duties for fifth grade president involve balancing the school district's budget, doing your particular schools yearly tax reporting, and sending the bad kids to prison for life.

A: Locker shelves will work and magnets and maybe a flat mirror with nothing sticking out!...... but trust me maybe the 1st and 2nd week you will be organized then jux 4get all about it and get messy trust me I had a mirror and a white bord and 1st of all i didnt even use it i never had time and i never realy wrote in it cuz it always got to crouded in the hall ways and 2nd the mirror will be better in your gym locker but I really suggest you just get lovker shelves anf magnets cuz you will start to get crouded! Q: Average cost of tutoring for grade school children?
Is $25/hour expensive for tutoring a 2nd grader (going into 3rd grade this coming September)? The teacher (who is also a teacher at an elementary school) generally covers reading/writing/comprehension, which is the student's weakness. It is a one teacher to two students ratio. I'm not too concerned about the money, as long as the child learns, but am not yet able to judge the teaching quality as the child has attended only one session thus far. Anyhow, does this cost fall around the average?

A: You didn't mention where you are, but I would say $25 is a good deal especially for a licensed teacher. You also get the benefit of having a tutor with all the supplies and or access to the supplies needed.

I'm thinking about starting crepe business to grade schools in my provincial town in the Philippines. If using butter and fresh milk will make my ingredients to cost high. What alternatives can I substitute to come to a sellable price but won't sacrifice the taste and quality of my crepes?

A: Palatschinken, Blintz, Crumpet, Crepes all are made of the same Ingredients and I'm sorry to say the by "short-cutting" would have a big impact on the quality. Substituting powdered eggs and milk just wouldn't be right. Myself, if I'm going to sell something that I made personally it better be the best I can do, no compromising. Good Luck

Q: What are some good activities to do with grade school children to raise awareness about tobacco?
I'm in a club called Health Sciences and Technology Academy (HSTA). We are going to local grade schools to talk about the risks associated with tobacco use. I would like to set up stations with different activities and have them rotate. Any ideas?

A: 1 - at 1 station they could use their knowledge to make a 15 second radio commercial, and you could have a tape recorder their so they could come out of your workshop with a good reminder on why not to use tobacco. 2 - I am sure you can get pictures of what lungs that use tobacco look like, that could be a station. 3 - have a station where they test how good their oxygen is so they can see why they wouldn't want to harm that.

i'm filling a job application that says grade school(last attended) and high school and college last attended. what am i suppose to put on that

A: It's asking for what elementary school you went to. It's an old format application. Nowadays you don't need to fill that in. Compulsory education laws ensure that everyone goes through at least two years of high school. But 50 years ago, it wasn't uncommon to find job applicants with only a sixth, seventh, or eigth grade education.

A: Science and upper level, either chemistry or physics. 1. It's incredibly fun, I perform pyrotechnics, play with chemicals, use candy 3-10 times per week. 2. You get more motivated students. 3. You get more mature students (usually 10th-12th grade) 4. Very useful for students to get into college etc. It takes 4-5 years for college. You can either major in education, or major in your subject area and get certified on the side through the education college.
