Q: Christian schools?
We are moving to North Carolina over the summer, and my mom believes that it would be much safer if we went to a Christian school, because public schools are too "dangerous". I've been going to public school all my life, she just thinks it's too dangerous there. What's your opinion? Oh, it's not necessarily the Christian part, but all private schools in our future city are Christian.

A: I was raised until the 4th grade in a Lutheran school, then moved to a public school after my parents divorced. It was a full year and a half before the public school caught up with what I had already learned and I was bored that entire 18 months. When new material finally arrived, I had already lost my study habits and suffered for a little. If you want your kids to excel, I recommend a good Private school. The classes tend to be smaller with more personal attention and the learning rate is accelerated. If I could have done one thing different, I would have asked to stay in a church school until high school graduation.

Q: Why do Christian schools have science as a subject?
Totally got me wondering. My boyfriend is in one of the best christian schools in the area.. Yet science is a compulsory subject. If christians dont believe in science, why is it a subject?

A: Christians do believe in science....it really doesn't have to be one or the other.... I love reading the Atheists comments....They like to pretend that Atheism is correlated with education....when in fact most of them have no education in any science what so ever and dont even understand their own argument they are trying to make.... I like to remind them that the leader of the Human Genome Project....a man that has forgotten more about science than most people will ever know.... became a believer during his research....even wrote a book on it.... Atheist are just trying to appear superior.... so there is most likely a psych problem there somewhere....

Q: is there financial assistance or help to send children to christian schools?
I am considering sending my son to a christian high school. it is very expensive. the school has a financial assistance application but is subjective to how many kids qualify and need it. Our family income is not as much as most so i was wondering if anyone has heard of an organization or group that will assist with tuition payments?

A: I found one site that looked legitimate. Good luck.:) http://www.cfainfo.net/testimonials.html

Q: People that say no to government subsidized Christian schools, also say yes to Christian subsidized?
social programs so is this fair? Maybe the government should be totally responsible again for the food distribution to poor people and totally responsible to disaster relief and all of the other programs that Christians do. I think the talk of help for the Christian schools is basically just in recognition for all religion has done for the poor people of this country

A: I do not think that govenment should subsidize christian schools. Than they can tell the schools what to teach, who to hire & who to enroll

Q: Any Atheists with children in Christian schools?
I guess I would be considered an Atheist. My wife calls herself a Christian, although she doesn't really practice it. I am not a militant Atheist who thinks the word God should be removed from everything. I really could care less if it's on the US currency or in the pledge, however I am opposed to it being taught as fact right along with reading and math. That being said, it is time for my 4 year old to start pre-K. We checked into some private schools and simply cannot afford them. My wife is trying to convince me to send him to a Christian school. It is only for one year(next year he will start public kindergarden). She insists that the amount of bible taught will be minimal. I am against the whole idea. Am I over reacting? She says that I can explain to him that there are different belief systems and that it's okay to believe whatever you want or nothing at all. I just don't want him being brainwashed for 4 or 5 hours a day. Anyone have any experince like this?

A: I AM only 13, but maybe I can help you. my dad is JUST like you with the religious beliefs. my mom kind of believes in christianity, but kind of not. a few years ago, I started going to church with my friend and my dad got annoyed when I decided we should say grace at dinnertime. well, eventually I came to my senses and realized god is impossible,(I was brainwashed by that church, I swear!) but my dad just stuck it out. it was only about a year. I think that you can wait it out too. especially if minimal religion is taught. remember, you believe what you want, but you have to let your kids do the same. good luck. and maybe they will just teach your child better behavior.

Q: How much do Christian Schools Cost?
I am going to look into sending my son to a Christian school. What can I expect to pay for a year? (Ball Park Figure)

A: I went to a Catholic school in Baltimore Maryland, my tuition was about $10,000 a year plus the cost of books, uniforms, and supplies. My tuition did go up about $300 every year I was there. I also know that my school was one of the less expensive ones in my area. Most were between $13,000-$15,000. These are prices for high schools not elementary or middle schools. Catholic and Christian schools cost alot but the education I received was priceless, I got into a great college, and I still keep in contact with my friends and teachers from high school. Some schools offer scholarships too!

Q: Is It True That People From Private Christian Schools Turn Out The Naughtiest?
Have you been to one? I did till' the 8th grade, and I admit I turned out pretty bad.

A: yes i am from a christian school

Q: What is your opinion on private christian schools?
What do u think about them be specific!

A: My daughter went to a private school. She enjoyed it very much. I really feel children/teens have a better structure and lean how to study better than in public schools. The classes are sometimes smaller and students have a better one on one with their teachers student helpers and advisors etc. School uniforms are also a bonus. There is no stress on kids to have better than the other. The price is well worth the education!!

Q: Your experiences with Christian private schools vs. public schools or homeschooling?
I will be attending a private christian school next year (high school) and wondered what your experiences have been vs. other schooling expieriences? The school I am going to is not really strict, no wierd dress codes or anything. The classes are all basic, except the bible class. So what do you think, overall, if you have been to a school like this? also, how do school dances work? Thanks everyone!!

A: I'm homeschooled. And I hate it. Just be happy you're going to be able to interact with people. =)

Q: What do you think about private christian boarding schools?
I go to one and want to hear someone else who goes to one's opinion

A: I am a 100% believer in private Christian boarding schools if they are administered the way the school I attended was. We had the best of all worlds - outstanding academic instruction, emphasis on taking care of our health, and inspiring spiritual instruction. I am aware, however, that not all Christian boarding schools have the same high standards. It is important that you attend a school that is outstanding academically as well as spiritually and that the teachers are dedicated Christian ladies and gentlemen. s

Q: is there scholarships or funding for grade school children to go to christian schools or catholic schools?
Is there any programs that helps parents in New Jersey pay for these schools ? I have two children that I would love to get out of the public school system but I cant afford the private schools. thanks

A: I found a list of New Jersey private schools. Try calling a staff member or teacher for more help. http://www.eliteprivateschools.com/New-Jersey-Private-Schools.html

Q: What is the point in having CHRISTIAN schools nowadays?
Im not talking about preschools. It is a fact that over 80% of those in christian schools dont believe in GOD or in christianity. So whats the point?

A: I was thrown into public school too young and due to that and my shy/timid nature it was a living Hell. my parents saw I was miserable and gave me the option to go to a private school. It was the best thing they did for me growing up. God or no God, children can be cruel.

Q: do christian schools have sex ed classes and give out free condoms?
what do they teach when kids are that age and want to have sex?

A: Plan A is they teach Abstinence. There is no plan B if plan A fails.

Q: What is the reason for christian schools today?
what is the difference between Christian schools and public schools? How are the kids different from each other? Are they different? How do the teachers treat the kids? How do the kids interact with the real world?

A: Your still allowed to pray in christian schools, get religious education, not be force feed Darwinist evolution like it is truth.

Q: How can Christian schools be a blessing or a curse?
How can Christian schools be a blessing or a curse? I go to a very small Christian school that is supported by a church. I dont go to the church. All the teachers that teach there must be members of the church. The teachers there seem to favor the kids who go to the church as well. The kids who go to the church look down at the kids that dont go to the church, and make fun and use them. how can that Christian school be a blessing when you have kid say that they are better for really dumb reasons. How do the first Christian schools differ from the Christian schools of today?

A: As a Christian I find this very disturbing, email me the name of the school you are going to and in what city and I will take care of the problem for you I promise. I am glad you are at a Christian school but obviously there is some problems, Jesus would not approve of what is going on there, The Bible is about Love, Remember John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus came and died on a cross and took our sins away. Praise the Lord for that, I love this time of year when we remember His Birthday, and it reminds me of when Jesus saved my soul, I became a born again believer when I was 8 years old, Christmas gets a little better each year. Just trust in Him yourself and he will take care of you, good luck and God Bless You!!
