Q: Best schools...?
What are the best schools for kids? Public, Private, Charter, or Home Schooling? I really don't want to home school my kids, mainly because I don't know much about it. But I wan't info on all types of schools. I went to public school in CA and it wasn't that great. Has anyone been to Private, Charter or Home Schooling? Can you tell me what is best about these types of schools and what you didn't like about them? I'm trying to look at both sides of the issue for each school so I can decide. Thanks!

A: In my opinion, there is no better school than a public school for the AVERAGE child. Public schools provide a wealth of information and opportunities that no private school offers. Students are taught a variety of life skills in addition to the academic curriculum. The academic curriculum is designed by the best of the countries educators and is what each school should use to guide teaching experiences. Private schools often hire un-certified teachers. They often pass students along to appease parents without regard to the child's best interest. Remember, all teachers and school personnel want only the best for your child. Parents and school might disagree, but the motive is the same. Private schools often make up curriculum and do not follow that designed by the state. Of course there are many special circumstances that make public school not appropriate for all students (disability, emotional disorders, ADD, and ADHD, religious affiliation, etc.). If you are really on the fence, go charter (its sometimes the best of both worlds) and see how you like.

Q: What schools have the best record for getting accepted to Med School?
Question is the same as i just asked: What schools have the best record for getting their grads accepted to Med School?

Q: What are the best schools in the world for pathology?
Dunn School of Pathology at Oxford seems to be a good school, but I was wondering if there was a school better for someone to study pathology. I would like to know the best schools in the "world," not country. I would like to be a pathology researcher.

A: If you want cellular and molecular biology (CMB), in order to really do something with the degree, you would either need a PhD, or an MD and PhD in CMB, with a residency in pathology that would take 3-5 years. So, the school depends--do you want to be a medical doctor, a medical clinician with a specialization in pathology, or a pathology researcher? Johns Hopkins is one of the best (if not the best) in the US, Oxford of course and also Cambridge, and the Pasteur Institute in France are all in the running. Of course, you need top grades in a top undergraduate school to even be in the running for any of these.

Q: What is the best large commerical flight schools?
The large schools for example Delta Connections Academy, Pan Am Flight School, Westwind, Flight Saftey Academy which are the the best and worst? Which is the most expensive and least expensive? Although they are all expensive. Where have the best experiences been and the worst?

A: You have to graduate kindergarten before you start thinking about College. Find a local Flight Training School, & get your PPL or Airman's Certificate 1st , when you are ready for one of the above named Schools, you will know which one is right for you.

Q: What are the best graduate schools for Humanr Resources?
I am planning to go for my masters and Phd and I need help identifying the best schools in the field of Human Resources Management. If you know of one, I would appreciate receiving the name and reason why you think it is best. Thanks.

A: I know some who have phd's in industrial relations (which is basically more of an HR in a grand scale). Also I am aware of phd's in pyshcology and labor economics with concentration in HR and now works as a consultants with major HR consulting firms. Moreover, there some who chooses to take DBA (doctorate in biz admin) in HR. Without having doctorate degree, I have a friend who takes HR professional exams like the Certified Benefits Professional .. and Certified Compensation Profession..and I guess there is an International Comp. Prof..being offered. All are highly rewarded/regarded in corporate, academic, and consulting setting. I heard he is raking in at least a six figures. So a BA (from a no rank university) plus CCP+CBP= $000,000. Of course some of his colleagues have Phd's. To sum, I haven't heard of any university that dominate the field of HRM. Hence, there are many roads to being an specialist in HRM.

Q: What are the safest cities with best schools to live near the Nashville area?
We are moving to Tennesee We both need to work in Nashville but don't want to live in the city. We are currently in San Diego, so a little commute won't bother us. What are the safest cities with the best schools? We have a two year old and those are the most important factors in moving to me. We've heard Hendersonville and Kingston Srpings.. Any ideas?

A: Check into any of the schools in Williamson County. They're pretty good.

Q: What are considered the best schools for sculpture in the US and abroad?
I'm wondering what are the best sculpture schools in the US and overseas? Would they necessarily be at the best art schools? Additionally, would one need years of experience getting into one of those programs?

A: just google sculpture university ranking and you will find some lists. For the US Virginia Commonwealth University tops the list, but it will not necessarily be the best school for you, every person is different, I'd give a look to any of the top 10 schools. Do you want to get a graduate degree or an undergraduate degree in sculpture? For an undergraduate degree admission depends on your portfolio. For graduate school you obviously need an undergrad degree, easiest is if it's in sculpture but may not need to be in that subject, but you need a very strong portfolio. Exhibition experience will help. I think at VCU they take about 5 students a year for graduate school and a couple of hundred apply... Generally you have to figure out if you are more interested in conceptual art or more figurative modeling. If the latter you may be happier in a craft program.

Q: What are the best civil engineering schools in California?
I am a community college student who has taken all the math and physics and I want to know which schools to apply to. Who are the best CSUs? I know Cal-Poly SLO and San Jose State are pretty good. Who else? Who are the best UCs? I know Berkeley, Davis, and UCLA have good civil engineering programs. Who else? I can't afford private schools, so, I probably won't look at any.

A: Cal Poly SLO as well as pomona are very good at engineering...I have heard great things about these two schools. Of course, Berkeley and UCLA have great programs, but if you can't afford it Cal Poly would be the way to go. CPSLO and CPP are highly ranked schools, especially in engineering and architecture. Stay away from chico and humboldt, they are party schools...San Diego is ranked well too, but it is a party school as well. Fullerton is one of the top ranked public universities overall

Q: What are some of the best school districts in Fairfax County, Virginia? Any schools to avoid?
I will be moving my family to Fairfax, Virginia in the next 3-6 months, and wanted some good recommendations on the best school districts in Fairfax County. I know most schools in Fairfax are top rated in the nation, but are there any specific schools that are top notch? Thanks so much in advance for your help. My childrens' education is the #1 priority for me, and I have kids that will be attending primary, middle, and soon high school. Your recommendations are most appreciated! Thanks!

A: Schools in Fairfax are VERY good. You'll have a tough time messing this up. I believe every high school in the county is ranked in the top 500 nationally, and the elementaries and jr highs just feed these. It's all about what you want, too. We live in the eastern part of Fairfax; the population is more diverse, and there are public schools where kids can learn Spanish, Chinese, and/or Korean in the elementary grades. If you have a real estate agent, be sure to ask them - they won't - and many times can't (referrals are necessary!) steer you wrong. Check the Fairfax County Schools website for demographic info and more.

Q: What are the best vet schools to study large animals?
I want to be a large animal (farm animals, especially horses) vet. What are the best vet schools for this specialization?

A: rutgers. my friend actually is going into that program and she wants to be a horse doctor. they have this one campus cook where people who want to study animals reside. there is an entire farm and each student gets a "pet," to train and take care of it. its also cheap.
