What are some great colleges/university's to go to if u want to have a carrer in the musical arts?
Know any?
like a few not jus one?
A: Check out schools that have a conservatory. Although a conservatory does not necessarily mean a good education, it's a good start. I went to Ohio State and got a great education and now I'm an orchestra teacher. I have a friend in jazz studies who is loving it at the University of Tennessee.
The Cincinnati Conservatory of Music is good, as is Indiana University.
There are so many colleges to choose from!
Ask a music teacher at your school - they usually get all kinds of stuff in the mail on the subject.
Q: What are some good colleges/university's that offer good Programs in Forensic Science?

Q: What are some universities/colleges in San Francisco that are around the academic level of a state university?
I'm a junior in high school and I'm having difficulty deciding colleges to apply to in about a year's time. My SAT scores are pretty good, relatively speaking, about 2000 out of the possible 2400. My high school grades so far are pretty good - GPA of about 3.5. I intend to continue my schooling after college, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
A: San Francisco State University (part of the California State University system)
University of San Francisco (Catholic private university)
Golden Gate University (private university)
Lincoln University, Oakland , California
University of California, Berkeley, Calif. (part of the University of California System. )
City College of San Francisco ( 2-year community college)
Good luck.

Q: How do people transfer from Community Colleges to 4 year University?
Hi, I heard most of community college students transfer from community colleges to University or attend university after their 2 years with Assosiate degree. After completing your first year at community college, can you transfer to universities such as University of Washington with the Assosiate's degree and certain amount of GPA and if so, how much GPA do you need in average? Also, if you complete 2 years of education with Assosiate's degree in Community college, are you pretty much guaranteed to attend 4 year universities such as University of Washington? Thanks for the answers in advance!
A: Make sure the schools are each accredited or else classes at community college may not transfer to the Univ.
Get in contact with a counselor at the Univ to make sure that your classes correspond to the major at the Univ. For example: Your AA in Business may not require you to take Accounting II, but your BS in Business probably does...if your community college offers it, take it there!! Most likely it will be a lot easier and cheaper.
Most of the time, if you go to a Univ within same state as you received your AA, you are guaranteed to attend, of course your GPA has to be acceptable for the major your are choosing at the Univ.
Q: What are some colleges or University that offers student family housing?
What are some colleges or University that offers student family housing? also if you know the answer for this....what are the tuition, housing and child care cost?
A: Well im not sure what state you are from but.. I kno that WITCC. (western iowa tech comm. college) has a family apartment. Tution is Iowa resident ($102/credit hour) Nonresident ($133/credit hour). Housing for Families is 1 bedroom $2,650/semester.. 2 bedroom $2,920/semester. Hope this helps.
Q: Is Boston university college of communicaions easier or harder than the other colleges to apply for?
Do you think they strive more extra corricular around your major.
A: It depends on which colleges you're comparing, but generally, yes. COM is harder to get into than CAS, for instance (because COM is specialized and CAS has many majors). One of the most important things when applying to COM is that your essay be impeccable -- original, interesting and well-written. Strong writing skills can make up for shortfalls elsewhere (such as test scores).
BU in general wants to see your are well-rounded, so extra-curriculars are important no matter what college you're applying to. For COM, certainly, it is a good idea to have ECs that relate to the major you want to go into. Newspaper or student newscast for jorunalism, AV club or Drama club for Film/TV, similar ones for Mass Comm.

Q: can i do PhD in life science in any institutions other than university colleges in California ?
can i do PhD in life science in any institutions other than university colleges in California ? If 'yes' ,what are the options ?
A: Yes, there are other states in the Union that have universities, which, just as California schools do, offer life science doctoral programs. And there are even schools in the United Kingdom (you, know, those nice schools called "Oxford", "Cambridge", "University of London", "Edinburgh", "St. Andrews"), Europe, Austraila, New Zealand, and South Africa.
Q: Whats the difference between Community and University Colleges. Is one better than the other?
A: Community colleges generally are technical colleges that cover basic courses. A lot of people seeking associate degrees, or just want a lot of flexibility in their studies would choose a community college. The curriculum is generally not as vigorous as a university college and community colleges are usually cheaper. Community colleges will usually forge an agreement with a university to guarantee the acceptance of their students if they successfully complete two years at the community college.
A university college on the other hand has more courses on various levels (novice to proficient) and offer more majors and degrees. Most tend have day and night courses like community colleges. University colleges usually tend to attract more published and scholarly professors, thus making the courses offered more vigorous and costly.
Q: When do Anna University colleges start their classes?
