I play football and ofcourse if i get scouted, then i'm sure i'll attend whatever college scouts me.
However* If i'm not that lucky then i would really want to become a chef.
So any colleges here in Texas good for cooking?

Any help will be appreciated :)

Q: Does anyone know of any Texas colleges offering a Master's degree in human resource management?
I've tried to find them through google but can only find online colleges. I need an actual brick and mortar institution, preferably in Houston. I did find that Texas A&M offers this degree but I know nothing about the school so if you know anything about it, feel free to include it in your answer. Please don't give any answers saying things like "use search engine this" or use this resource - I need specific names of schools that have this degree available. This is a serious inquiry. Thanks in advance.
A: University of Houston--Clear Lake has a graduate program in Human Resources Management
Otherwise, within 100 miles of Houston, it is either TxA&M or Sam Houston State in Huntsville.
Lots of smart people in Clear Lake - definitely worth checking out

Texas Woman’s University

A: Rice is one of the most prestigious schools in the country. U Texas Austin is very good. SMU is pretty good.

Q: What are the best colleges outside Texas?
I'm going to a community college in Texas my first few year or so..to get required classes out of the way. I'm interested into going to school in another state...maybe Washington or Massachusettes. What are the best colleges in these states? Also, out of state is expensive.. is there a way I can become a resident like there a while before I start school there.. would it be cheaper? An ideas and advice are welcomed. Thanks.
A: I don't know much about Washington schools.
If you're shooting for a public school then you may indeed want to consider moving there and establishing residency first. I don't know how long that would take, so check and be sure you have that time available to spend!
Massachusetts has many fabulous schools, ranging from the top-tier private liberal arts schools of Williams and Amherst. Of course MIT and Harvard -- two of the top schools in the nation -- are there, along with Boston College, Boston University, Tufts, Brandeis, Northeastern University, UMass at Amherst, Smith, Hampshire, among others.
Get a book like The Fiske Guide to Colleges, visit www.collegeboard.com and www.princetonreview.com and you'll be able to get deeper into this.
Q: What are the best Texas colleges to go to if you want to study Criminal Justice?
I am very interested in Criminal Justice so I would like to study it in College.
A: I doubt you'll find a school with a better reputation in Texas than UT Austin. It's well known, selective, and UT is always a good bargain if you're in state. Also, from what I've heard, the UT law school has excellent job placement statistics.
Q: Which Texas colleges allow pets to live with you on campus?
My cat will die if I can't take her to college because there will be no one to take care of her.
A: My school's pet policy states that unless it lives in a 10-gallon tank and has gills, you are prohibited from owning it on campus. I expect most universities are similar, if not stricter.
I would suggest looking into adoption facilities and your local human society.
Q: Does anyone know any good musical Theatre colleges in Texas?
I'm at a loss. I really want to stay in Texas for college but I can't find any schools that offer a musical theatre major. Does anyone know of any, and if not, i'd appreciate some advice.
A: I would check Southern Methodist University. I believe they offer what you are looking for.
Q: Does Lubbock Texas have any colleges besides Texas Tech?
I have only lived in Lubbock a few months and I want to go back to school part time. I know Texas Tech is big here, but I got the feeling It would be hard to just sign up for a few classes there. Is admittance pretty selective? Does Lubbock have any community colleges near by? Thanks in advance!
A: Yes, there is South Plains Community College in Leveland, Lubbuck Christian University, Wayland Baptist in Plainview, and West Texas AM up in Canyon.
Q: Very dumb question for ppl familiar with Texas colleges?
Where is all the UT colleges and where is all the A & M colleges. they aren't the same, are they? and what are their mascots. and can anyone just give me some general/stupid knowledge like that about both colleges. lol.
A: The main UT campus is in Austin, Texas and there mascot is the Longhorns. There are many other campuses, like UT Dallas, UT Arlington...
As for Texas A&M Aggies (Boo!) They are located in College Station, Texas. A&M also has many other campuses, A&M Commerce, A&M Galveston and so on.
And no they are not the same.
Q: What are some good Pre-Med colleges in Texas?
I am in the college search process and I am trying to search out all of the colleges that are strong in pre-med, especially in the state of Texas. Does anyone know if SMU is strong in pre-med or what other colleges in Texas would be good to look into? Thanks!
A: Rice, UT, A&M and Baylor are considered to be the best in Texas for pre-meds looking to go to Med School. SMU would be in the next grouping.
I wouldn't say SMU is particulary strong in the sciences, but a degree from there will get you will be sufficient enough to get into Med School. If I were you, I'd focus more on going to a school you like, because happier students make better grades and good grades are a big factor in Med School admissions.
Q: Do colleges (especially in Texas) look at the highest scores from individual sections of the SAT?
Do colleges (especially in Texas) look at the highest scores from individual sections of the SAT? I'm about to take the SAT for the second time. If I were to score higher on math but lower in critical reading, could I send the higher math score and my previous higher critical reading score? Or do they look at the overall combined score?
A: No, colleges only look at the highest composite score, meaning that they won't accept you highest individual section score. The overall combined score is what they look at.
