Q: Should I go to a southern college?
I'm trying to decide what college I should go to next year. I live in New York and I applied to some colleges in the northeast but I also applied to southern school like Auburn and Clemson. I'm a huge sports fan, very conservative, and i've heard that southern people are polite and southern girls are hot. But some people say that it would be too weird to live in the north for my whole life and then go south for college. What do you think?
A: Lots of northerners do just fine going to college in the south. For example, huge numbers of kids from New Jersey and Ohio go to the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
Q: What is the name of Southern Mississippi college's football team?
I am doing a report on Brett favre biography. I need to know the name of the football team for Southern Mississippi college located in Hattiesburg Mississippi. Please give me an answer. Thank You.
A: Golden Eagles...
Q: Which southern california college would you recommend?
I'm hopefully going to southern california next year for college. Which ones would you recommend for a 1st year freshman to go to for a 4yr degree?
A: If you are looking for a major research institution the main options are UCLA, USC, UC - San Diego, Cal Tech and UC - Irvine.
Pepperdine is also fairly highly regarded but it doesn't offer quite the research opportunities of the above school.
There's also a lot of really good smaller schools in Southern California.... Harvey Mudd college, Claremont McKenna, Pomona, Occidental.
My advice would be to look at schools based on what you actually want to major in while at college. Without knowing that, it's actually pretty hard to give spot on advice given the diversity of colleges/universities in SoCal.
Q: What do you think of Florida Southern College?
What's it like to go there? What are the students and faculty like? Please be honest, thanks!
A: There? Near a campus, there is the Spanish hill area like Spain.
Students? Equally hispanics, blacks and whites.
Q: What is the best community college in the Southern California area?
I am going to be pre-med and I need the best community college I can go to, since that is my only option.
I live in Fullerton, California (close to LA) but I have easy access to housing anywhere in the southern california area, so that's not a problem
any help, please?
thank you [=
A: Santa Monica College is the best community college i know of. You can transfer all of your credits you receive there to any UC campus.
Hope this helps
Q: Which Southern California College would be ideal for me to obtain my MBA at?
Hey guys,
I'm currently attending college in So Cal and I want to get my MBA. I was wondering which school should I attend for this major? Also by any chance, would someone be able to tell me first hand how it was while obtaining their MBA? Things like how difficult, how long and how fun plague my mind. I'm up for the challenge but I also want to know if it's worth it. Any advice or information is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jason H.
A: An MBA takes 2 years, full time. The good ones in SoCal are USC and UCLA. It drops off pretty dramatically from there to schools offering MBAs that may not help your career too much. Be sure to look at jobs and salaries of grads before entering a program. The decent an above programs want 3-5 year of work after undergrad, so you have some time.
Q: Should I go to College at Southern Illinois University Carbondale or Illinois State University?
Should I go to College at Southern Illinois University Carbondale or Illinois State University?I got accepted to both colleges.... This is a hard pick for me....
A: That depends on your major. I did not try to look into SIUC, so I don't know what their strengths are. ISU is top in the nation in education, and truth be told, it kinda lacks in the other areas. I know they just redid their college of business recently, so that has a lot to offer. I know they have a lot of nursing and med students, so maybe that is a good place to start the basic programs for med. Their art college is really tough to get into. You have to submit a portfolio and if they reject you they don't tell you what they didn't like. I tried 3 times to do art, and tried some business classes before I went into education. I definitely feel that I was well enough prepared, based on what I've heard about education majors from other schools, including I think SIU.
Other factors to consider are convenience of the location, cost, and how much you like the campus / town. Those are all important in ensuring the best college experience you can have.
Q: whats a good southern california college that's easy to get into and good for film?
I was thinking of transferring to a college in ca from texas.
I need something that doesn't require a high gpa admissions
and good for film and realtively close to l.a.
(which seems like a no brainer)
thanks.
A: Loyola Marymount? Good school, not sure about their stats, but definitely not like UCLA or USC. Check em' out. The campus is very nice, and in a good neighborhood.
Q: I need a cummunity college in southern cali that has animal/ vet courses?
I'm looking for a community or career college in Southern cali. That has animal classes. Pretty much any animal classes would be nice. But especially if there is a vet tech kind of course.
Thanks
A: www.lapc.cc.ca.us

Q: Where are some good places to live at in Southern Denver for a recent College Grad?
I'm a recent college grad who does not know the Denver area very well. So I would like to find an afforable place to live (possibly in the Cherry Creek area) in Southern Denver. A conda, townhouse or apartment seems reasonable. I would especially like to live somewhere where there are plenty of other young people living in the area and things to do.
A: I would suggest looking at the De Medici apartments located at 4295 E. Mexico Ave. It's very well managed, fairly priced, and located exceptionally well. Washpark is less than 10 minutes drive, cherry creek mall is about 10 to 15 minutes drive, I-25 is less than 5 minutes drive, DTC is 15 minutes south and downtown is 20 minutes north. DU is less than 10 minutes drive... We lived there for 3 years before moving to Switzerland last December and I would highly recommend it. The apartments faceing to the west are especially nice because there is a large quiet lawn back that way.
Q: What's the best community college in southern California?
I want to know what's the best community college to go to so i can transfer to a good 4 year college.
A: You should be looking into which community colleges near you have good relations/history of sending students to particular 4 yr universities.
For example, Mt. SAC is known to be a good place to go if you want to enter UCLA later. I can't remember positively anymore, but I think LBCC is good for Berkeley.
Q: What college in southern california would be a good college for me if i was ?
looking for a small or medium college that was kinda a party school very community based but that still offers a good education ?
A: San Diego State is small?
UC, Santa Barbara
Q: What southern california college (public or private) are easy to get into?
What is the average high school gpa? the atmosphere?
A: If you want to move to SoCal, why don't you just enroll in one of the community colleges here. After a couple of years, you can always transfer to a local 4 yr school. Even some of the biggies like UCLA or USC.
Q: why do people at southern college football games wave the old confederate flag?
i find this disrespectful to the entire nation
and dont give oh it is their history ad culture because everyone knows that there still north hating people
(only some of them not all of them)
okay ive been to the south loads of times and all i see are dirty looks and disrespect from southern whites
i dont really care about my grammar right now its not like i am righting a report for my my EDUACATION!!!! i still think half of the southerners that wave that flag are racist/and or do not like the north
i put this in sports because i mainly see the souhern flags at college football games
A: Come on down heah, sugar plum...let me fry you up some catfish and okry, and a nanner puddin. It'll make yawl yanks feel better about us.
I'll wave the Confederate flag around while ya eats, so's the flies and skeeters don't git none.
Q: Which of the southern college football team has the best fan base?
A: LSU
