I want to be a watchmaker/jewerly maker. I know they offer this as a major but im not sure what colleges in ohio offer this major and need to find out as soon as possible.

Q: best colleges for a political science major in Ohio?
Hi, I'm from Youngstown, Ohio and I'm going to graduate from high school in a couple years. I want to major in political science and would really like to know what the best choices are for colleges in Ohio.
Thanks.
A: You have some great choices. Instead of a mega-school like OSU, look at a smaller liberal arts school where individualized study and smaller group interaction makes for a better learning environment.
Schools to look at:
Oberlin
Kenyon
Hiram
Denison
Good luck!

Q: What are some colleges in Ohio that has a great history program???
I live in Northwest Ohio and I want to find a college in Ohio that offers HIstory as a major. The problem is, is that almost every school in the state offers History as a major. I can't really tell if they have an awesome program or not because a lot of the websites don't really help me. I'm currently looking at Bowling Green and University of Toledo. Can anyone please help me???
A: I can see your dilemma, but the best way to deduce which university has a good history program would be to first of all, do a college search, preferably the one on the College Board website: http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/index.jsp
Try to narrow down as many colleges in Ohio that offer history as a major according to some other preferences mentioned in the search--type of school, location, campus life, activities & sports, majors & academics, admission, cost & financial aid, deadlines--and from there, you will get a list of colleges to your preferences.
Look at the list, click on some of them or all of them, go to there main website and check under departments, majors, or academics of the school's website, then go find history and click on it.
From there, you will get a brief acquaintance about the program and maybe some detailed information about the department itself, but if what you're looking for isn't there, the best thing next would be to email a question to admissions, maybe chat with a representative of the school as some offer the opportunity online, or call them and ask questions pertaining to the major such as what's their rate of job placement, maybe student ratio would help (if you like more attention in your studies, look for schools that offer small classes), or how much attention do they put into that department). There are a myriad of possibilities as far as questions to ask and it all depends upon what you're looking for.
Q: Christian colleges in Ohio or surrounding states. Going into psychology?
I'm a senior in high school this year and I would like to be a counselor. I am looking for a Christian college that is in Ohio or surrounding states. Any suggestions?
A: Ohio Dominican is a Christian college in Columbus, OH
http://www.ohiodominican.edu/
http://www.ohiodominican.edu/about/history/default.asp
Q: What are the best Colleges in Columbus, Ohio?
Ok its College visiting time. what the best colleges in only columbus ohio? And be honest
Thank You.
A: OSU has a lot to offer definitely, but it is HUGE place and at times students can feel lost. But it can be a good value. There are lots of other good smaller choices in the area. Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware and Dennison in Granville are to good liberal arts schools, but they are very expensive unles yo are getting scholarships/grants.
Capital Universtiy and Otterbein in Westerville are probably in the next tier of small schools.
There are other choices as well, but it's hard to answer your question without knowing what you are looking for regarding size, interests and study concentrations.
Q: What are some of the best colleges in Ohio for me (studying biomedical engineering/sciences)?
I live in Ohio and want to go to an in-state university. The main majors I'm considering are biomedical engineering and biomedical sciences. I'm also interested in neuroscience, genetcs, and molecular biology. I plan go to med school or graduate school. What schools do you think would be best for me for undergrad?
A: I just finished my freshman year at Ohio State. For Biomedical Engineering you should consider Case Western Reserve University. While OSU has a good engineering school, they're biomedical program is just getting off the ground. Case Western can definitely offer you much more in that major. As for the biological sciences, definitely consider Ohio State. The Molecular Genetics program is very good. Also, the OSU medical center is very well-known and has a good reputation, which might help you out with your med school aspirations.
Q: What are some colleges in Ohio or bordering states that have degrees in jazz studies?
A master's degree, to be specific.
A: Bowling Green State University has a great music department.
Q: What are some of the highest ranking colleges in Ohio, Tennessee, and North Carolina?
What are the top academic colleges in these states?
A: For North Carolina I think UNC - Chapel Hill, Duke, and NC State, all three have a great mix of academics, sports, and location. If pursuing a medical career Duke or UNC is probably the best choices out of the three, NC State has great design programs. If your looking for a HBCU try NC A&T and North Carolina Central University. East Carolina University is also a great school, especially for nursing and education studies. Good LUCK!
Q: Do colleges offer lower level sports other then, for example, Ohio State D1 football?
Say i want to play tennis at Ohio State or any college, or track or football. Is there like lower level sports at these schools for the "less gifted" people like myself?
A: there are intermediate teams , this is a leage for people that couldnt make the original team or dont have time to be on the team ,its a group of 4 or six teams all consisting of players that go to the same school. other than that there are d2 and d3 schools lower than that njcaa which are all highly competative. your best bet is intermediate.
