Q: monroe college?

A: Since you didn't ask a specific question, I thought I'd send you these links so you could shop around....all different places. Monroe College is a private college with campuses in the Bronx and New Rochelle, New York. The college was founded in 1933 and is named after President James Monroe. Q: how is monroe college in new york and how is their job placement.?
how is monroe college. im thinking about going for my associates degree in business technology.

A: You mean MCC in Rochester? I heard it's pretty much like a glorified high school. You should probably go there for two years and then transfer to a SUNY school to get your bachelors... An associates, on it's own, isn't worth much these days. And as far as job placement - I guess Roch isn't the best place to find a job these days. You're better off moving to a bigger city.

Q: how is monroe college compared to other culinary schools in nyc?

Q: Is monroe college in New York any good?
I was wondering because i will be going to that college in the summer and i was wondering if i will have a blast there.

A: How do you define "good school"? Because no, it's just okay. It is a real school, though, and it has the right type of accreditation. But no, it's not exactly NYU. Will you have a blast there? Are you looking at the Bronx campus, or the one in New Rochelle? For the one in the Bronx, it's right in the heart of the Bronx, and quite close to another university - Fordham. You'll literally have NYC at your feet. The New Rochelle campus is more suburban feeling, but even that has easy access by train to NYC - about a half hour to the heart of Manhattan.

Q: What's better: Bronx Community College or Monroe College?
In terms of finance, education, atmosphere. I want to major in computer information systems. Plus I work 35 hours a week now. What is life credit?

A: I know that since Monroe is a private college the tuition is double that of BCC. BCC is reputable and you can transfer your credits (if needed) to almost any four year college. It is of course a 2 year school. Monroe is more of a school for working adults tho. They grant life credit and really work with you to complete your degree although you have prior commitment. Both campuses are beautiful. And both schools have a good reputation. I would suggest to you Monroe since you have a full time job. However if tuition is a big deal, then BCC is the college for you. (Also the computer science degree at BCC is mostly a stepping stone and the credits should be applied to bachelors degree once finished) http://www.bcc.cuny.edu/DegreePrograms/DegreePrograms.cfm?DegreeID=33 http://www.monroecollege.edu/academics/schoolsandprograms/informationtechnology

Q: Anyone know of any apartments near Monroe Community College in Rochester NY?
Me and two other buddies of mine are looking for apartment complexs near MCC or any where around there. Ones with decent rent and with two rooms, as two of us will room together. Anyone know of any?

A: Here is a link that has a list of apartments near MCC: http://www.monroecc.edu/depts/reshalls/documents/OffCampusHousing2006.pdf , look on pages 10 and 11. I had a friend that lived at Rustic Village and that is basicly right accross the street from MCC, but it doesn't look like they take first year students.

Q: Does anyone know if MCC (Monroe Community College) offers just one class at a time?
I wanted to take my classes one class at a time and I want to start with Theology and then English literature. In the end of my educational process I would like to acquire a doctorate in both areas. All help is needed.

A: Most, if not all community colleges, AND Universities allow you to take just one course at a time. Check out their website and see if they offer evening courses or "returning adults" programs, which are designed for people who work full-time and can only take a small number of courses per semester.

Q: Does anyone know about Monroe College here in New York?
Is it really a decent college or would you recommend me going somewhere else? I recently inquired with them and St Johns University and they both seem eagerly desperate to "make a sell" with me. I'm looking into doing Nursing. Any thoughts? Best answer gets 10 points, a thumbs up, and 5 stars from me. (thumbs up add to the amount of points you get..so technically you will get 11 points from me :) )

A: Sorry but I went to school in NJ as it was cheaper. Here is a review on Monroe. http://www.communitycollegereview.com/school_overview/846 Best of luck to you on you path to nursing.

Q: For people in the Rochester, NY area, which Community College is better? Gensee Community College or Monroe CC?
Please explain your answer. I live a little closer to GCC but my workplace is basically equidistant. I've heard good about both schools so I am wondering what the public has to say about this.

A: I think that both schools are roughly equivalent and there is no major advantage of one over the other./

Its Columbus Day and no one has informed me if we have classes. I attend a night class at the Applied Technologies Center.
