Q: Do you have to be good at college physics to major in industrial technology?
I'm not good at college physics. Industrial technology is under engineering but not quite the same thing.
A: engineers generally need physics and a lot of math.
Q: I am looking for an Online college that offers a Technology Package?
My husband is military and uses his laptop for work and his school attendance. I want a degree in Web Design/Development so, a cheap computer will only do for the short term. I need a technology package so that I can get the computer/laptop with the system requirements capable of supporting all of the software needed for the life of my schooling. Everyone keeps saying that a basic computer will work but I have seen the list of courses offered at some schools and a basic computer will run too slow with just one of these programs. Could someone offer some advice as to a college (online) that offers this? Please don't tell me about Dell. You have to be the Pope to get credit from them.
A: Check out http://freecollegeinfo.4aw.net . You can enter in your search terms - ex. "includes technology package" or "offers financial aid" and they'll send you a list of the best schools, often with offline/sattelite campuses in your area.
Good luck!!
Q: What is the difference between a College, a University, and an Institute of Technology?
I have narrowed down my selection to these following schools: University at Buffalo, Baruch College, and New York Institude of Technology. All of which offer the same degree, Bachelors in Science, Business. However UB is 11 K a year, whereas NYIT is nearly 30 K. What is the difference between these types of schools. I know NYIT is private, but does that help ME after I graduate? Do companies who recruit graduates prefer private schools who charge a boatload over lesser charging schools? Thanks!
A: The difference between a college and a university is that a college just offers a collection of degrees in one specific area, while a university is a collection of colleges. When you go to a university you are going to be graduating from one of their colleges, such as the business college. As to which is better, it depends on what you want. Single colleges tend to be smaller while universities are bigger, but universities are better known.
Institutions of Technology generally offer specific science related degrees.
Q: Please read if you have studied Radiologic Technology in college:?
I am looking into studying radiologic technology, and have found two programs accredited by the JRCERT. One is local, one is distance learning - both are through "real" colleges, not online schools. For financial reasons, I'd greatly prefer the distance learning program.
I am worried, though, that I might miss out on classroom skills. Are there any classroom skills to be learnt, or do you learn most of the hands-on stuff through internships?
A: I wish I knew, but I don't know anyone who ever did a distance program. My only suggestion would be to contact the school and ask them how it's done.
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.
Q: What college major combines business and technology?
What college major combines business and technology? I will be attending Ohio State next fall and as of now I am undeclared for my major. I have interests in business (finance, accounting, econ, etc) and computers (design, technology, programming, networking). Although I do not want to major in anything related to engineering because I am not extremely good with science and I just would rather have an office type job in a large city than be an engineer. What major do you recommend?
A: My sister did her degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She currently uses her degree to manage both IT and Business Unit direct reports. Her understanding of the Oracle DB (she's a certified super-user)and actual business operations (finance, marketing, strategy, etc.) allows her to manage global reporting for various business units at a leading california software company. She is about 26 and makes 80K. Hope this helps...

Q: What Does A Student learn in Nano technology at College level?
Please Reply as i am student Studying in 11th standard who is looking for a bright Future.
A: Look into Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. They had a nanotechnology center while I was there five years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if by now there are some undergrad opportunities there, but I couldn't say for sure.
edit: Yes, there are a few nanotechnology courses offered to undergrads at Cornell, I just checked. You could also probably work under professors at the nanotechnology center. E-mail them and see what they say about it. It's a great school. A lot of foreigners too. I'm not sure which country 11th standard is, is that British? In the US high school goes up to 12th grade.
Q: Is the Fashion Institute of Technology a community college?
I know it's a public institution, part of the State University of New York (SUNY). But I came across some websites that categorize FIT as a community college. I thought it wasn't, may someone help me? I'm not sure what FIT is anymore.
A: You can call them up and ask them. The phone number should be listed on their website.

Help?
A: Yes, all international schools are private. You can also tell because it's accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools instead of by the State.

Q: which is a better college, nyc college of technology or city college of new york?
i plan on majoring in civil engineering. which would be better overall? including campus life and education and graduation rate.
A: Hi,
There is not really much of a difference between the two. But City College is considered to be much better than NY Tech. Espeically for your intended major --Civil Engineering--City College is the best. City College is known all over the country for its Engineering. Its the only CUNY Engineering College. Other Engineering colleges in NYC are Columbia (WWOO HOO) and Manhattan. But as to your quesiton, City College is best for Engineering. Besides, NY Tech is Technology college, you should not expect them to have a good Enginerring departments.
As far as campus life, both colleges have almost the same type of student body. City College, however, takes precedence over NY Tech in this case too. City is in Upper Manhattan, whereas NY Tech in Downtown Brooklyn. So Students of City college can be consiered more sophisticated than those of NY Teach, since most of them travel 2 hours. They travel to study. Whereas in NY Tech, most students come from brooklyn, so they do not really care about studies and stay in college for years.
Graduation Rate: Again, not big of difference between the two. But City College is still better. Most students graduate in 6 years.
So my advice is definity go with City.
Good Luck in College!
Q: What is the second oldest College of Technology?
Its in New York.
A: The College of William and Mary (also referred to as William and Mary or W&M) is a small public university located in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA.
>>>>>>>>>It is the second oldest institution of higher education in the United States.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
William and Mary was founded in 1693 by a Royal Charter issued by King William III and Queen Mary II of England. It has educated U.S. presidents Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and John Tyler as well as other leaders important to the development of the nation. It has a strong academic reputation and was considered one of the original eight Public Ivies.
Q: I want to find out more about the new york city college of technology (CUNY). is it a good college?
i've already read some bad reviews on the school and would like to find out more especially about the graphics art production management department and faculty. thanks.
A: dont you mean........the Canadian University New Technology
