Q: What college courses do i have to take to become a veterinarian?
Im a senior in high school and i want to work with animals after high school. Do you guys know what courses i could take in college to become a veterinarian?
A: You have to go on to vet school. Vet schools have a list of required courses they want you to take in college. I'll give you UC Davis' as an example. However, the key thing is to remember and do 180 hours of experience working with animals.

Q: What college courses are involved to become a detective?
I've always wanted to be a police detective. I'm 20 and I haven't done any college courses. What all is involved? How long does the schooling take? And most of all what are the pro's and con's of this career? I own a house, so I pay a morgage and work full time. I need to start a career path while working.
A: I think you need to major in Forensic Science or Criminal Justice.

Q: What college courses do I need to be a family practitioner?
I would like to be a family practitioner, but I do not know what college courses to take and I can not find what I need on the internet. Help!
A: In order to get into medical school you have to take the pre-requisite courses
1 year of Biology
1 year of Chemistry
1 year of Physics
1 year of Organic Chemistry
Some medical schools also require biochemistry, a year of math (calculus and statistics), and a year of english.
Make sure to keep your GPA high (over 3.5) and to do well on your MCATs (at least 30). Remember that you have to have a Bachelor's degree to get into medical school, so you do have to pick a major and finish the degree (but it can be anything you want :))

Q: What college courses do i need to become a homicide detective or investigator?
i am sixteen years old and i am about to graduate high school. i want to know what courses in college i should take to become a homicide detective or investigator and any other information you can give me!
A: Normally those are higher-level jobs in the police department, and you have to get promoted into them. Therefore, you need a major that will get the police department interested in you. The obvious one would be criminal justice, but there are those who focus on things like psychology, which might be helpful.
Q: What college courses do i have to take to work at a publishing company?
I want to work at a publishing company when i "grow up" but i don't know what courses to take once i get into college or how to go about the process or what the job even completely entails. Please Help Me- any suggestions will help.
Thankyou.
A: The best majors would be English and/or Communications. Once you know your major it'll be easier to choose the classes. If you don't plan to major, I suggest taking a writing course to understand the skills of writing and a speech course because you have to talk to people. Also, take a literature course to improve your literacy.
Q: What college courses do I need to take in order to become an attorney?
I am a senior in high school and am seriously considering being a lawyer. My question is, what courses should I take in college if I want to be an attorney?
A: From what I have heard from others, there are no actual "pre-law" classes. There are some things they recommend, but they're not mandatory. Maybe some sociology, writing, English, philosophy. You may want to do Interdisciplinary Studies...(a program that allows you to take a mix of various subjects).
English is a popular major for pre-law. The writing and analysis involved is appealing to law schools. But Interdisciplinary Studies would give you more variety (and could include plenty of English, writing, analysis, critical thinking....anyway)
I've heard that people tend to falsely think that Political Science is a good pre-law major. It's really not.
Also consider what kind of law you want to do. If you're going to do corporate law, take some business classes. If you're going to do family law, consider family studies / human studies.
Q: What college courses can i take before college to avoid taking them in freshmen year of community college?
I want to get a head start in some pre-requsite community college courses before getting into a community college, what are important pre-requiste courses i can take?
A: Take gen eds that will be required no matter what major you are. History, english, math...

Q: What college/college courses should I take to be a horse rehabilitator?
I'm looking for a college no more than two states away from California . This college needs to offer courses to become a horse rehabilitator. I also need it to have a web site. I feel silly asking that question but oh well.
if your a horse rehabilitato or know one I need to talk to you
A: no idea about CA but check out all teh surrounding colleges animal science programs. i seriosuly doubt there would actually be a specific major for rehabilition but even if u majored in equine science and worked at a rehab center it would be more then enough!
goo dluck
Q: Where can I take college courses online and still get credit for them at a California University?
I am looking to take a couple of college courses online, like Spanish and Statistics. I want to complete them at my own pace and have the entire class be online. Are there any online schools that offer this that are accredited? I need these courses to be transferable to the California University system; it does no good for me if they aren't. The online schools I have come across so far seem to offer degree programs, but they don’t seem like they offer individual courses. Furthermore, I can't verify whether or not the courses will transfer? Any ideas?
Also, I want the courses to be able to start when I am ready and not just start and end during the traditional semester schedule.
A: Have you checked to see if the university system has any of their own?
Q: What college courses should I take for a career in Hospitality?
What college courses should I take for a career in Hospitality?
I work at the Hilton and I wanted to move up and start a career there......what kind of classes should I take for a career in Hospitality?
A: I manage hotels and have bene in hospitality for 8 years.
Some colleges/universitys have Hopitality degrees. But, hands on can be a great teacher, maybe even better. Learning not only customer service and customer care by being in front of the customer eevery day is the first step. If I were you I would take advantage of the job you have and try to volunteer for projects by the mnagers to help you get exposed to things like Competitive Shops, Supply ordering, and Credit card charge backs. All of these tasks are time consuming but if you can help with things like this, it will give you exposure to more aspects of hotels.
But be aware. The hospiality industry is not for everyone. SOmetime long hours and working more than 5 days a week. A hotel is like a 24 hour business and the further you get up the food chain, the more challenging it will be. But, either you love it or hate it.
I got my degree in Bus. Management. Like it or not, finance is needed so you can manage expenses and maximize revenue. Econmics so you can understand rates vs. supply.
Q: What college courses do I take to become on the Swat Team?
I want to know what college courses i have to take to become a Swat Member. And how i can get ready.
A: you would need to take all the required criminal justice courses first and then get hired on to a police department. From there you would be able to get onto the SWAT Team with some more specialized traing through that agency.
Q: What college courses do you take for chemical engineering?
I'm thinking about becoming a chemical engineer, but there are some college courses that I don't want to take, for example history. Also, are they hard?
A: You'll have to take a certain amount of humanities at any decent university. That will include some history, English, arts, etc. It's called being well-rounded. You might as well try to enjoy it.
Of course you'll take plenty of math, up through multivariable calculus and differential equations at least. And you'll have probably 3 semesters of chemistry.
Your first year, in many programs, you just take "basic engineering" courses that all engineering majors take. Then at the end of your first year you apply to individual departments.
Good luck.
Q: What are the advantages of taking college courses while in high school?
My cousin takes his education tooo extremely. Thats a different story.
He is taking college courses ever since he started high school. Up to right no he is a sophmore and has 16 credits so far. (I dont understand "credits" explain if u can XD ).
What are the advantages?
Should I do this too?
What are credits?
A: Taking college credit courses while in high school will help you cut back on the number of classes or credit hours needed to graduate. Each college class is assigned a certain number of credit hours i.e- english composition is 3 credit hours. Once you get into college there are a number of credit hours that need to be met in certain subjects in order for you to graduate with a certain degree. Most of the credits or college classes you will take in high school are lower level credits or base classes like english, spanish or foreign languages. Some high schools let you take upper level math for high school like AP calculus. Once you enter into a university most students are required to take so many credits in english, math, social sciences, etc. regardless of a major. So basically to answer your initial question- yes, take college credit courses in high school, it will benefit you later on. You don't need to take all the classes offered for college credit while in high school, but every bit helps. Good luck!
