Q: How long does it take for college board to send your SAT scores??
It's been a week and a half since I paid money to college board to send my SAT scores, and I look today and it still says "Request pending". What gives?? My colleges have received everything except my SAT scores, and after almost 2 weeks they haven't even been sent yet!

A: They take 3 weeks for them to put them on your online account if your registered online, and 5 to 7 week for them to mail them to you. This is what they told me when i took the test.

Q: How can I obtain my College Board results?
I graduated in 1989, and I don't know how or when I lost my College Board results and I'll like to recuperate them.

A: "Your scores are maintained on active file for one year after your high school graduation, or for one school year following your test date if you tested after high school. Please see Archived Scores for more information if you last tested before October 2002." "Archived Scores" is a link that leads to the link below on the College Board website... I think that's for sending scores to schools, so I don't know if you just want them for yourself... maybe you can send them to yourself. Found more info, for AP grades: "Four years after your test date, your AP grades are removed from our active computer files and archived. Requests for these archived grades must be in writing and cost $25 per recipient. In your correspondence, sent to the address above, please include the following information: your name at the time you took the exam, date of birth, social security number, current mailing address, daytime phone number, the year the exam was taken, name of the exam, name of the high school you attended, and the name and address of the institution to which you'd like your AP grades sent. Your AP transcript will go into first-class mail within 7 to 10 business days after we receive your request." It depends on wich College Board tests you're looking for.

Q: Which is the most difficult part of the college board?
I need to know which is the most difficult part of the college board and how many parts it has.

A: nerd!!!!

Q: Do you fail the class if you get a 1 on the college board exam?
I take ap us history and this is my first time to get an ap class. I was excited yet I was extremely nervous of getting this class. I heard about the college board exam that people take in may and i was just wondering if you fail the college board exam does it mean you fail the class?

A: Failing the college board exam doesn't mean failing the class. It only mean you failed the college exam, if you have an A, B , C , or D in the class then this is your grade for the class and failing the college board exam won't affect your GPA, but when you go to college you will need to take the AP class again if it is needed for your major! You fail the college board exam if you get 1or 2! 3-5 mean you passed it! And Good Luck!

Q: How can I get sent my SAT test from the College Board?
I'm looking to see what I missed on the SAT, but I can't find it anywhere on the College Board website. Where do I go?

A: There's a place to order it from the website. It's called Student Service or something close. Sometimes they don't tell you exactly what you got wrong though, just what type of question it is (i.e. geometry, algebra, etc etc)

Q: which is more accurate princeton review or college board?
I've been researching colleges and Princeton Review and College Board have different information as far as tuition, population, etc. Does anybody know which is more accurate of the two?

A: Use them both as research tools, but not the Gospel truth. If you want actual numbers/information, go straight to the source. Find a school's website or brochure, talk to former and current students and parents, call up the Registrar and Financial Aid office, etc. Get the complete picture of wherever you are interested in. Researching a school doesn't automatically mean you'll go there - schools understand that.

Q: Does anyone know the college board phone number?
I'm trying to contact the College Board about SAT registration. If anyone could give their number to their main office and hours they are open it would be appreciated.

A: (212) 713-8000 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Eastern Time).

Q: How do I change my name on my college board account?
I made a college board account but my first name is spelled incorrectly. It says that I can't change my name online but I could call them. The number has a recording but no options for my problem. Has anyone ever done this before? What do I do?

A: Set up a new account.

Q: Is it a crime in the UK to rig the election of a college board of governors?
A teacher at my college ran for election to the board of governors. Seeing that I had not voted, he pretended to be me, and voted for himself by using my vote. I have reason to believe that he also stole other votes as well, by this same method. He won a place on the board, by two votes. In UK law, was his act a crime and if so, what is the name of the crime, and what would be the statute of limitations on that crime?

A: It could, potentially, be one of several crimes - and should certainly be reported to, initially, the college authorities for further investigation. The potential crimes include - uttering a forged instrument attempting to obtain a pecuniary advantage by deception (if the governors receive any form of payment). And, depending upon which college it is, there may also be offences under electoral law as well. Personation is the first one that springs to mind, although there are others. I know that the language sounds arcane, but you did ask. The limitation periods vary: some have no limit.

Q: Do UC share SAT scores sent from College Board? Or do I have to to send one score to every UC I'm applying to?
If I want to apply to two UC, do I need to use College Board to send my SAT scores twice? Or just once, and all the UC will share?

A: Well, if you're currently a senior and you're actually applying to a UC, you have to send your scores to every single UC that you're applying to (This is not the case for CSUs, they share. Ask your school for the code). However, if you're an underclassman, don't worry about it. You don't have to send your scores, but if you want to, you can. You get up to four scores sent free.

Q: Will I get my scores from college board by at least this Thursday?
I need my ap scores to enroll in a college course. However, i need college board to send me my scores and today is already monday! I would have to call them tommorrow tho because they are already closed. If i pay extra for their rush transcript service which says will mail to me in two day..do you think i can get it by thursday? cuz im not sure if they mean they'll mail it out in two days or ill get it in two days????

A: It means they will process it in 2-3 days and then it will be sent online. The college should get them by Thursday or Friday if you send it out today(today wont count as a day). But I believe many colleges allow AP scores to be sent later than the application deadline. Good Luck.

Q: Does the College Board website have an ACT practice test? What site does?
Does the College Board website have an ACT practice test? What site does? I want to compare the styles of SAT and ACT tests.

A: It costs $20 to take two practice tests on this website: http://www.actstudent.org/testprep/index.html It's well worth the money!!! Also, I would recommend buying The Real ACT Prep Guide. It includes 3 real ACT tests that were used in the past and tips on how to prepare for the test. Good luck with everything! =]

Q: Has anybody successfully had their AP Scores reversed by having College Board Rescore Your multiple choice?
I received a 2 on AP US History and am contemplating on whether or not to pay the 25 dollars to have College Board rescore my multiple choice. This was the one test I worked my tail in and would hate to see me get jipped by College Board. Input would be nice.

A: I think I'ma get my rescored after reading this. Ha you guys made me feel like I wasn't left out. On the same test, too. I heard collegeboard screwed us over on purpose. I know I should've gotten atleast a 4, I got a 2.

Q: How does sending SAT scores work in college board?
im taking the SAT's on December 6th, but if i do bad, i really dont want a college to see them lol. i'm sending my scores to: Brown, MIT, Caltech, Stanford, UC Berkely, Princeton, Northwestern, and University of Illinois @ Urbana Champaign. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to get into Stanford and I don't want them to see my score if i messed up on the test. so could anyone explain to me how this "sending score" thing works?

A: As of right now the college board sends all scores to colleges as they are. There is no averaging. However, many schools use the highest scores from each section to make their decisions. It is important to understand that the colleges see all scores from SAT and the SAT Subject tests. Are you a junior or a senior? if you're a junior, I would recommend holding off until the March 2009 exam. At that time the College Board will begin a score choice program meaning that you will be able to choose which test sttings to send to colleges after you've seen the scores. If you have a bad day, no sweat! Whether you're a junior or a senior, you should make sure you have enough preparation so you can do well on the exam when you take it.

Q: Do college board of admissions actually look at your AP exam scores as a factor?
Or do college admissions care more about the letter grade you received in the AP class over your AP exam score. I know my school's AP classes are much harder than some other states and was wondering if I'm at a disadvantage by getting lower grades than other kids from other states. What would be better, getting a higher grade in the AP class and a lower grade on the actual AP exam, or a low grade in the actual AP class but a high grade on the AP Exam itself.

A: College boards look at the AP exam scores that you choose to show them. If you get a 1, they don't have to know. As to your question about which to get a higher grade on, they both have their advantages. Chances are, a high grade on an AP test will give you course credit at that college, (not Harvard though). However, a good grade in the class can help your GPA which is one of the major factors of college acceptance. I'd have to say that getting an A in the class and a 4 on the test is probably better than getting a B in the class and a 5 on the test.
