Q: Christian colleges?
I am looking for good Christian colleges...problem is i'm hopeing to find one that is also majoring in Animal science. Is there such thing?
Or can I just go to a christian college for two years and then do four years at a college that offers animal science?
A: There are several religious colleges that also offer majors in the sciences. The colleges listed below include a range of theologies along the spectrum of schools that self identify as Christian. They are all schools that have a reputation for being academically strong.
Wheaton College - http://www.wheaton.edu/ (top rated academics/ nondenominational evangelical)
Grove City College - http://www.gcc.edu/ (well respected academics/ nondenominational Christian)
Calvin College - http://www.calvin.edu (top rated academics/ Christian Reformed Church )
Goshen College - http://www.goshen.edu (well respected academics/ Mennonite)
Corban University - http://www.corban.edu/ (well respected academics/ Baptist)
In addition there are many independent and public colleges/universities that have active church related and christian groups on campus. An additional resource for your college search could be to contact Intervarsity Christian Fellowship ( http://www.ivcf.org ) to find out about campuses that while not explicitly religious have strong campus groups.
Q: What are some Christian colleges offering physical therapy?
I'll be going to college next year, and I want to study physical therapy. So far all of the Christian colleges I've looked up have just been pre-physical therapy. What are some schools that offer physical therapy all the way through? If there is a Christian grad school that offers it, that would be fine. Thanks!
A: The problem is, most PT programs are housed at large public universities or medical schools. However, there are several Catholic institutions that offer PT such as Marquette, Northwestern, Creighton University.
Yet, here is a list of all the accredited PT programs in the US:
http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?section=PT_Programs&template=/aptaapps/accreditedschools/acc_schools_map.cfm&process=3&type=PT
However, one thing to consider is that you can do your undergraduate work almost anywhere and then transfer to a PT program for your graduate education.
Q: What are the best Christian colleges in the Midwest?
I'm a junior in high school and one of those typical honors-AP-4.0-clubs-leadership roles-sports-church kids who like experimenting with many activities and excell in most of them, so please just believe me and I won't bore you with listing all my activities here. I am wondering what the best Christian colleges in the midwest (within about 6 hours or so from western Wisconsin) are, because I have had no trouble finding outstanding secular schools, but have been more and more interested in ensuring that my faith is developed along with my intellect at a Christian school of a high caliber. I've done research, but want to see if any schools have fallen through the cracks.
Please list the top ones (in order or not) in your mind, and maybe a reason why one is the best... Any suggestion helps, so thanks a lot! Have a stupendous day!
A: Of course, being an alumnus, I'm biased, but I can recommend Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. It's about 6 hours drive from Eau Claire on I-94. It's a Lutheran Liberal Arts School, fairly conservative, but not extremely so. I was never that religous, but I always felt welcome.
Another school you might want to look at is Hilldale College, in Hilldale, MI. It's in the south end of the state, SW of
Detroit, near the Indiana/Ohio border. This is a small non-denominational school with outstanding academics.
Good Luck.
Q: What are the cheapest computer colleges that are like Christian but like very good?
I know Pensacola Christian College is a cheap college in Florida, and they offer a Web Designing degree but are there other really cheap colleges with computer degrees? Like a school that is under $10,000 but one that would still offer the pell grant and other scholarship or such?
A: I wouldn't say its the cheapest - but Texas Christian University is probably the best christian school out there http://www.cs.tcu.edu/
Good Luck!!!
Q: What are some good Christian based colleges?
I'm really interested in becoming a youth pastor, and I was wondering if anyone could get me a list of Christian colleges. (By the way, I'm a girl, I put that because there are just girl colleges out there). Please and thank you so much! :}
I'm from Nebraska, and I'm looking for something in or around Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, or Wyoming.
A: okay, well dordt College i know is in Sioux Center Iowa...
and they have a very reputable name...
if you're looking for more try Petersons.com you can search areas, even denominations...
good luck!
Q: Does anyone know any good Christian Colleges or Universities?

Q: Are there any Christian Colleges where students bump and grind dance a lot?
I want to go to a Christian college and I want to Grind Dance while I am in school.
A: isn't that hypicritical of you?
Q: Anyone Know Any Christian Colleges With These Things?
Ok so me and my friend want to go to college together. I want to go for early childhood education and she wants to go for music composition. Any colleges that have both of these and that are christian?
A: Check out Belmont University in Nashville. Good in both. Azusa Pacific might be good as well. And California Baptist is well-regarded but I don't know about the majors.
Q: What good small christian colleges should I look into?
I really like Asbury college in Wilmore KY, but what other colleges are out there like Asbury College? Asbury only has like 1500 grad students so it's really small and that's the kind of college I want to go to.
A: Depends where you want to go in the country for college. St. Joe's in Philadelphia is a really good school. My mother went to Caprini College for two years. It's a small Catholic college in Southern PA, about an hour from Philadelphia.
Q: What are some good Christian Colleges in Boston, MA?
I'm about to be a senior and I'm starting my college search. I really want to go to Boston for college, but my parents want me going to a Christian college if I go that far up north ... and I know nothing about Christian Colleges in Boston, so some feed back would be nice!
Thanks!
A: I'm assuming by Christian you mean Protestant and not Catholic colleges? Catholics are Christians and there are lots of reputable Catholic colleges in the Boston metro area such as Holy Cross, Boston College, Providence College.
Q: Are there any Christian colleges/universities that offer photography?
I'm just wondering if there are any Christian colleges/universities that offer a decent photography program. Please, no Catholic schools. Thanks. :)
A: olivet nazarene?
Q: Does anyone know which Christian colleges are more progressive?
I know Wheaton College is but I'm looking for some options on the west coast. I consider myself an postmodern Christian and would like to study theology. But I find the whole traditional evangelical or fundamentalist style fairly unappealing.
I'm having trouble finding anything online so if you know anything, or especially have experience, some help would be much appreciated! thanks!
I know Wheaton College is but I'm looking for some options on the west coast. I consider myself an postmodern Christian and would like to study theology. But I find the whole traditional evangelical or fundamentalist style fairly unappealing. By progressive i guess i mean more promoting of new ideas, not necessarily more secular.
I'm having trouble finding anything online except rants about the downfall of Christian education so if you know anything, or especially have experience, some help would be much appreciated! thanks!
dangit. the last set of details is right. can't figure out how to get rid of the first.
A: LMU in LA is supposed to be excellent.
Q: Do christian colleges only teach students to be ministers or missionarys and other related stuff?
Or do they have other classes as well?I've looked at a few but the ones that show their classes is for students becoming ministers and stuff.
A: No, plenty of Christian colleges offer a full array of majors. Look at Baylor, Pepperdine, or Liberty University. All are definitely Christian universities, but they don't just train ministers and missionaries.
Q: What are some good Christian Colleges that do not have Strict clothing rules?
I am 14, but I am going to be thru with school when I am 17 possibly 16, any suggestions?
A: Whitworth College is totally awesome. It's a Christian school in Spokane, WA. All the professors are Christian, and the school is just full of warm fuzzies. It's the happiest place I've ever been. And there are no clothing rules. The Big Three, insofar as rules on campus are:
No Alcohol
No Violence
No Cohabitation
Or, as we liked to call it, no violent drunken sex. Whitworth is a wonderful place to nurture your faith, but still have individuality and freedom of expression.
